    need help

I know this isnt really the place to post this but im not sure what section it should go in, but I do know it will be answered here the fastest.

    I just turned 20 a week ago, Im 6'3, 235lb , 11%bf , I eat 6k calories a day, I take 1MR, and smart gainer.

my question is. I see other guys at the gym who are a quite a bit bigger than me. so i asked a few what there age, weight, height and lifts were to try to see what they do so i can gain some more mass.

the 3 guys i asked at the gym that day were all my height or an inch or 2 taller, all weighed 10-25lb less then me and 2 out of 3 lifted less than me and the other onehad about the same lifts. the main factor in all of them was the fact they were 24-28.

So since i lift more, weigh more and am around the same height as them shouldnt i be bigger? is the reason why Im not because theyre older and there bodies are just able to put on mass better and there bones are fully developed?

    thank you for your replys.

Everyones body is different. Bone structure, size of joints, and bodyfat all play into the illusion of how big someone is. When I'm lean people make comments about me being bigger even tho I weigh 20 lbs less

Just because you’re stronger doesn’t mean you’re going to be bigger. A runner has skinny legs but I assure you he will out run just about ANY bodybuilder.
It also depend how you train, just because you lift more doesn’t mean you’re going to build more. For some low amount but more reps is what is needed for mass.
Look at power lifters, they don't train like bbers , lift more, but sure as hell don’t look the same.

Also hormones, you don’t know what they’re taking or even what their natural amount is. They might have more test then you, or be on cycle. There are SOOOO many reasons.

this a totally noon thought, but i no sum vets n the gym who think like this. wat i think it boils down to is ur age. u c being young, 20, u havent reli reached ur peaks or full potential. u mite think that u stopped growing or cant get bigger etc, but two things cum n2 play. the most mportant factor is ur age. give ur body time to develop. the second is ur diet? hows ur diet? u have to eat big, to get big.

Six thousand calories a day is massive, and I just have to ask if you're really counting all of your macros diligently or not. Not to doubt you, but that is a ridiculous amount of food. The fact that you have a low body fat % would indicate that you're eating an incredibly clean 6k calories too, which further makes me question if your really taking that much in. But your height and weight and bodyfat % would indicate that you are in fact a big guy, perhaps it's your physique that you're concerned with, your proportions and such. Post a picture, and relay everything you eat in a typical day. If you really are these stats and you really are taking in this many calories, perhaps you need to rethink your workout regimen. What are your workouts like; cardio and resistance training-wise?

well....have you taken a close look at your workout routine and lifting mechanics?

is your training geared for strength?

or are you training for hypertrophy?

    b/c there is a difference
