    1st Cycle-for purpose not aesthetics

    I've played Division 1 football for the past 4 years. This coming season will be my final season. I've always debated doing a cycle, but have always been too "straight edge" and didn't want to "cheat" etc. I suffered an injury this past season and I lost a significant amount of size/speed. I'm going to begin my offseason training soon and after a few months of deliberation and research, I've decided on taking a 7 week cycle of anavar only. I've read that it's a waste of time to take anavar by itself, but I don't want to blow up and get super strong quickly, I just want something to jumpstart my training and help me get back to where I was and maintain the gains. I'll be training 6 days a week, a morning session of speed/agility and an afternoon lifting session.

    Current stats: Been lifting seriously for 4-5 years. 6'5" 260 lbs, probably up to about 15-18% body fat now, but will decline once I start my normal (cleaner) offseason diet.

    Current plan for anavar: 7 weeks- 30,50,50,50,50,50,30 mg's/day - 10mg tabs, legit supplier

    Questions:

    1) Considering my goals, how much will anavar help me? Again I'm not looking for drastic results, I just want a boost more or less, but more than a preworkout boost

    2) Will anavar, at that given dose, help my speed/agility at all?

    3) As far as PCT, will I be okay just taking milk thistle?


    I'm aware that Test is probably the best bet for what I'm looking to accomplish, but to be honest I just don't want to inject myself nor deal with any gyno at all

    this is scary..you seem to know next to nothing about aas and pct....I do not mean to be rude either..
    1. oral only is not a good idea, and a waste of your money.
    2. milk thistle helps support liver. It does nothing for pct.
    3. many who use anavar are those trying to cut beyond what most of us even can. Like below 8% imo...

    eat good, rest, train hard would be better if you do not want to pin. and controlling gyno is easy to do if you know what you are doing

    Just do urself a favor bro & wait til ur 25. Cycling @ ur age presents & significantly greater risk of doing potentially irreversible damage 2 ur undeveloped Endocrine & HPTA. In the mean time, stick around & do some research, I sure u will quickly figure out everything thats wrong with wut u posted above. I hav hi lighted the things I would like u 2 start ur research with.

    I understand I came off as a novice in my initial post, and I'm definitely no expert but I know a little more than I came off there.

    I know milk thistle isn't a PCT, but I read that if you take a mild dose of anavar you really don't need any PCT as it does not shut down ur HPTA fully. The milk thistle was just for extra safety. I'm 23 right now and this is the last opportunity I have to train hard for my sport. I would not do any AAS after I'm done playing football so this is my last chance.

    Are you saying that I would be better off doing nothing at all then doing this cycle? I find that extremely hard to believe. It has to help SOMEWHAT right?

    I was under the impression that anavar is the most mild of all AAS's with little to no side effects/gyno

    id think the benefit/risk ratio is still better for an injectable test than oral only

    Pinning isn't an option for me right now, and anavar is alpha alkylated (sp) so it passes through your digestive system intact with little damage to your liver. So I'm not really concerned of sides. I just want to know what type of results to expect, if any? I've heard that BJJ has a good log on here of an anavar only cycle but I can't seem to find it in the search. Anyone have a link?

    And to answer a previous concern TheBear; the 2 sessions a day 6 days a week was inaccurate, I only actually lift Mon Tues Thurs Fri-Wed is massage therapy/filmwork and Saturday is optional Yoga

    i agree its a waste. Its a pretty low dose of anavar. So i wouldn't expect much. Everyone reacts different to anavar. it will suppress your hpta. How much varies by person. Some people come on here and feel like shit and have erection problems because the anavar shut them down. So now they are worse off then doing nothing. If you do run it pct is mandatory

    OK so what I'm getting is its a waste by your standards of a normal cycle, but true or false its going to do more than if I took nothing, correct? I don't want a true cycle's results, just a little help.

    not necessarily. It depends on how much it shuts you down. Everyone is different. I seen guys run 30mgs and get shut down completely. Some can run high doses and be ok.

    No, you lose some to the liver (maybe 20%).
    And Anavar can certainly raise liver enzymes, just not as much as most orals.

    Bonaparte thank you I did not know that. Am i going to need to run a PCT like nolva or clomid or would taking milk thistle before-during-and after the 7 week cycle be sufficient to get my liver back to normal?

    I'm also still looking for an answer to my other question, will anavar at the 30-50-50-50-50-50-30mg dose give me a boost (even if small) in my strength and speed?

    milk thistle is for your liver. That has nothing to do with pct. So if you decide to do this bad idea you will need pct

    Bro I play D1 Baseball. The football players at my school take winny for athletic purposes hoping they won't get randomly drug tested. Some of them complained about there joints drying up since they ran everyday in the mornings, but after the cycle they were fine. Taking Var that way is a waste, but it will give you results even if it is very minimum. PCT is a mandatory for any AAS
