Possible TRT at only 19 years old?

Hey everyone, I've been browsing the forums for a few months now but am finally going to try to become active. I'm a seemingly healthy 19 year old male. Shit, I'm a personal trainer, pre-med student, and the strongest guy in my dorm. I went in to see my doctor because of some gyno I've had for a couple years and he ran some blood tests to see if my hormones were out of whack. Turns out my test was super low for my age and my estrogen was through the roof (The test results will be posted below). This came as a surprise because my gains and sex drive have always been fine. The only thing I had trouble with was getting super lean. He referred me to the endocrinologist to further investigate but mentioned TRT as a possibility. I've designed and administered cycles to other people but have never been on one myself. Any ideas how different my doctor prescribed cycle will differ from a typical cycle? Besides the lower dose of course.

    Welcome To the board mate!
I'd say no for a few years And see what your body comes up with after your hormonal system is fully developed. You could just be a late bloomer

Wait even with my estrogen levels where they are at? I was thinking of at least taking anti-estrogens to prevent my gyno from getting worse. I backed out of surgery last week because I fear that with my levels where they currently are, I'd have to get it removed more than once. I'm still waiting to see what the endocrinologist is going to tell me next week. I really appreciate the feedback, knowing that some doctors prescribe medication just to fill their wallets. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. There wasn't any reference ranges posted, was your estradiol-E2 done as a sensitive assay? Presuming it was, and presuming the ref. ranges are pretty close to others we've seen, your E2 isn't out of whack at all.

Designing and administering cycles to your friends is pretty risky considering your age and lack of cycle experience to boot. Your 2nd test results look OK IMO. Sure, maybe it could be up a little more, but it's not anywhere at a level where TRT needs to be discussed. Your LH is leaning a little on the lower end of maybe what a person would want to be optimal, but definitely not suppressed by any means. If the doctor has some slight concerns, maybe they should run a MRI.

Possibly all those frat parties, and crashing for exams that are keeping you up all night might be tinkering with your hormones a little. As TR advised, I will concur, probably best to take a few more years and let everything mature. Also, depending on the extent of your gyno, it will probably have be discussed with your surgeon.

i agree with both guys on everything they said, and like Vette said more testing should be done especially MRI!

I'm going to talk to my doctor and see if I can get that MRI. Hopefully the first test was the result of little sleep and stress from midterms and nothing permanent.

As for administering cycles to other people, I'm definitely taking a break and expanding my knowledge (hence the joining of the boards). My first couple were basic test cyp with eq stacked and a PCT of hcg and nolvadex (guided by a co-worker with a few cycles under his belt). I look forward to learning from the vets on this site. Thanks.

E2 out of whack? Hell mine was 295 with the normal range of 7.6 - 42.6
Your test looks in good range also

A doctor would not put you on any sort of "cycle" as you say. You would stay on T year round. There are gels and injects to consider. The inject equivalent would probably be around 100mg per week.

Most likely you would be on just that, but some people need an AI to keep estrogen normal, and some people take HCG for improved well being.

Have you taken any prohormones? Especially recently, even short cycles can shut down natural T production in a matter of hours. It comes back naturally over time though unless something was seriously abused.

Finally, your second blood test does not look bad at all. In fact, there is no way I would think a legit doc would put a 19 year old on HRT with those numbers - They are normal.

The significant change from 1 month suggests something, however, such as different lab, somehow skewed results (take T tests in the morning) from timing, or perhaps some lifestyle or dietary change, or finally perhaps you took a supplement that had hormonal stuff in it.

Definitely hold off, it is a major decision to get on TRT for life especially at your age.

I've never taken any pro-hormones. The only thing I was taking during the first test and not the second was creatine and a pre-workout. I only took both for about 2 weeks also because I didn't like the effects. I got my blood drawn at similar times. Blame the shitty processed dorm food? haha

Just out of curiosity, what pre-workout did you use?

I was taking Chaotic Rage and Creamean at the time, both made by Chaotic Labz. The only thing I saw was my potassium shoot up.

If I was 19 and had low test I would look at the root issues WELL before I tried any test gels / shots / anything else. I was 35 when I got checked for low test because I just wanted to see, had a full beard could deadlift over 500 pounds but I was sleeping a lot and in a shit mood. Test was at 280ish. If I was 19 and had that level I would try to see if you really do have a issue. Also I will say when I did blood it said I was low, then I did a 24 hour urine test and it said I was off the chart high so I would also look at doing a better test then the bloodwork before you go down the HRT road.
