    Ordering Western Union

    Hey fellas,

Just wondering how risky it is ordering from a domestic supplier with a western union?

A few of my friends have ordered and received their orders last month and are very happy with it.

Is this by any means a safer play then ordering domestic?

I know a lot of guys say if you can't handle the risk then you shouldn't do it.. But I'm just looking for any insight.

    Thanks in advance,

I would first do an extensive google search on the source in question. for example, if you google
    Complaints: (source name)
    you will see what's what.
if people have been ripped off in the past, it will probably show up here.

Western union does pose a certain amount of risk not ordinarily associated with a credit card transaction. with WU, once they have your money, you are, more or less, at their mercy.

Having said all that, I have used WU to buy off the net, once from china, once domestic, and never had any issues.

    Good luck!

I try not to use either becuase I am a cheap bastard and prefer not to pay te fee. I had more issues with Moneygram though when I did use them.

Yeah Moneygram is cheaper than WU. But either way once you send that money, you're at their mercy. But I don't know a single legit online source that doesn't require WU/MG transfers.

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone send money online using WU? Is that safe or should I just visit the clerk face-to-face?

I'm in the U.S. where everything is taboo. I figure it couldn't hurt since they collect just as much information from you one way or another, the difference being that they have my card information rather than just cash.

Yeah, but I missed their closing time because of work, and want to get the ball rolling I'll try it online once and see how it goes.

Nevermind! I ran into the "pain in the ass". 2-4 days for a "Code" to transfer Online? Pfft!
