    one arm bigger

My left arm is about 1/2 inch bigger than my right. Anyone have some good ways of building it up quicker so they even out?

This is out of the ordinary because regardless of the difference between strength and use from one side to the other, the body has a natural inclination to spread growth hormone evenly from one side to the other. Studies have shown that when a group of men at an age when gh and test levels are high (20-27), training only one arm resulted in equal size growth. I assume that you exercise regularly, so my advice would be to make sure that your diet and exercise regimen is one that will promote lean muscle gains, and you should find that the smaller arm will grow faster than the other and eventually they will be equal. Of course there's always the chance that you have some sort of physiological impediment. If you were concerned about this I would recommend getting a physical and blood work performed and tell the doctor about this oddity.

I've heard of this before a few times. When I 1st began weight training my right arm always looked bigger than my left (I'm a righty). But, both measured the same. I think the problem lies in symetry, the muscle on the left arm is a slightly different shape, or connected in a slightly different place, to the muscle on the right. Over time the difference I noticed between my arms became less so, and you will most likely see the same. From bodybuilding magazines I have read, I have come accross this question a couple of times that people have wrote in to 'ask a pro'. If I remember correctly, some guy sent in this question to Flex magazine once and Louie Ferigno replied, and I believe he said that early in his training he always felt he had 1 arm bigger than the other, but it evened out over time. (it was a long time ago when I read this, but I'm fairly sure it was him).
My guess is, just stick with it. Concentrate on lifting the weights evenly and deliberately to ensure both sides are recieving equal load. If you like you could do strict dumbell curls, to enable you to concentrate on performing the exercise the same regardless of which arm is doing the lift. I wouldn't go trying to do extra sets etc on the smaller arm though, as this may lead to problems.
    Good luck.

For myself my right trap and left lat are smaller than their other respective sides. Im planning on just not training the bigger size and train the smaller size until their even before going back to training both sides.
