    Calories Burnt throughout a workout?

    Hi,

I was wondering how many calories you could lose within a standard weight lifting workout "average" of an hour "no cardio"?

The amount of muscle the person has, the body part(s) being exercised and the intensity are all huge factors in the equation. As far as 200 calories being burnt I will have to disagree on that. The average persons BMR around here is going to be near 200 calories an hour. If you are doing an intense leg or back workout including squats or deadlifts I am sure a decent size guy could burn close to a 1,000 calories in an hour.
