    Calorie intake

Saturday and Sunday are my days off from lifting, is it still necessary to eat 3500 calories or can I cut back a little?

I only take one day off at a time but i don't back off at all. As a matter fact, i sometimes eat more on my days off.

really depends on what you are trying to do. if you are bulking, and your TDEE = 3000, and you want a 500 cal surplus, then you would eat 3500cals/day regardless of whether or not it is a work out day

Agree. My calorie intake will vary slightly depending on current goals but I always eat normally on days off. Your body will use it.

Completely dependent on your current goal.

Best bet is experimentation. That's how you'll learn how you respond to what you are trying to do. And when you experiment, be consistent!

Try not changing the calories, see what happens. Try dropping the calories on those days and see what happens.

Pretty simple dude, give it time. This is the biggest thing about this game. The more you try, the more you learn. But more specifically, the more you'll learn about yourself and what works for you. Everybody is different!

and keep in mind you're building new muscle tissue, so you need to feed that new muscle tissue. if you're fairly sedentary/static on your rest days, you may be able to cut back on your carb intake. try experimenting as others have pointed out. cut/bulk??
