Kitchen Nightmare Thread: Bad restaurant experiences

Mine was in North Carolina. My extended family rented a house for thanksgiving break. A few days after turkey day we were all tired of eating in so we decided to go to a seafood place. Average price per plate was 18-24 dollars. So we were expecting a decent experience. But that did not happen. All of the seafood plates had stuffing, mash potatoes, and can cranberry piled on them. So basically fish and left over crap from 3 days before.

None of us ate the food. Not just because of the nasty sides, but everything tasted the same. My uncle had a manager come over to hear our experience. We were told that " jimmy" the cook was a highly trained chef and that it was not unusual to use those sides when serving seafood. They did admit that the sides were from thanksgiving dinner days before. We offered to pay half the bill- they offered to call the " sheriff". It was late and we had the entire family including kids- so we just cut our loss and paid.

Wife and I went to Nobu in NYC. Ordered appetizer, dinner and bottle of champagne. The food sucked. Over $400 bill and we went to the diner later that night to eat.

I went to mccormick and schmick's in philly. During dinner the fire alarm went off. We had to evacuate the building. While standing outside it started raining hard. So we got soaked. End up some kid pulled the alarm on the 5th floor. For some reason the restaurant now had water on the floor. They offered us a cup of coffee for free
