When you say jab fest? You mean shaddow jab with weights or you striking the bag?

Consider switching pushups with burpees if you want to boost cardio max.

Dont EVER think you're too old for the the cage or any combat sport. I used to box with guys who were in their 40s and could still throw.

    Yeah shaddow jabs...
And too old wasn't thinking about it to much, I was brought up as a boxer but never got into it, just alway had the bags and things needed to learn.

But would love to get in the ring, but need to get my cardio up.

I just checked out some burpees Workouts and that is forsure on my list. To me it looks more for the ladys,, but that looks like a crazy before bedtime cardio.

It looks real good only thing is from my experiences when I did these circuits I used to do a lot of core workouts and for explosiveness which you do need if your going to step into the cage but stick with this it will for sure bring your cardio up.

Yeah I never though I was too old for the ring, just some people like to speak there minds. But wantever happens in the ring I will still show up to work.

And I have been doing my circuit and its been killing me, but I hit the bags at the end and was told I still the power, just the lack of holding my arm up to block...

But for core I am going to do some cable abs knee on ground and pull cable down to floor, and there is other but this one I think is pretty strong?

Circuits are so hard I remember when I used to train my coach made us do 8 station circuits with 15 seconds rest in between stations there was no slacking if you slacked you didn't get the rest but just stick in there man your going to see how much your cardio improves especially when you spar it gives you a big advantage even over the bigger guys. Also just remember when you chose your workouts, that a lot of workouts don't transfer good into the ring, if your gym has a big tire I would recommend you try that (good core and explosive workout), hold your core tight and explode up flipping the tire that's a good one to do.

They don't have a tire. But I have alot of home made idea, I just want to try this out and switch, when it comes down to time for the ring I am hoping to have a few more added in, it is winter here so I don't have a yard to pull anything (like a tire) as I walk backwards.

But my workouts aren't to gain they are just there to built streaght
