The buck is good for close encounters but get a few slugs in case they try to run away.

ive always believed that the myan calandar was not counting down the end of days but mearly showing when all the planets will be all inline to the sun again and the next day the calandar starts back to day one and they follow ther orbits for another 2012 years till they allign with the sun again...that being said if its true dont be suprised if theres some serious gravitational innfluence in the universe that have potential to cause serious shizz...

My agreement with my wife is I can buy a new gun each time we have a daughter. She's having twins, here's to hoping they are girls so I can get two new guns.

I like my Sig, p229 .40 Although I would like a smaller gun for concealed carry, there are a lot of compact .40 out there that are really nice.

Yea I like the glock's for tactical training and as a carry weapon. They are very reliable and easy to handle. Really hard to make a mistake with them.

I have a remington 870 laying on the floor next to my bed. Gotta be 21 before I can get a pistol. I've never heard a bad thing about glocks.

Give us a review on that gen 4 when you get it. I have read some reviews online and have been thinking about getting one.

will do.. I found a nice video explaining every little difference between the 3 & 4.. I'll see if I can find it when I get home..
I was debating on a gen 3 or 4 and one of the tipping points was the gen 4 has adjustable backstraps so my gf can use it too n fit it to her hands.. besides that, the grip texture is different, firing pin is diff., and the clip release button can be switched to accomodate a left or right handed shooter...

Yea I think I'm sold. I need a good 9mm for tactical training. Let me know how you like it when you squeeze off a few.

Check out the Taurus Slim PT740 ... I think it will serve the purpose. It's just a tad bit bigger than my Ruger LC9mm, which is a great CCW gun.

Truthfully, my Kimber Eclipse Ultra .45 has way less recoil than my .40. Alex, fire a few of the 1911's that are out there and compare them to the Glock if you haven't already.

Glad this turned into a gun thread

No the Mayan calendar did not have a leap year Their calendar was designed with 13 months and 28 days a month, that comes out to be 364 days. they went from full moon to full moon as one month. The Mayan calender, presumably, is accurate in measuring the correct length of a year, so it has no need for leap years .while the mayan calendar didnt take the leap year into account the translating calculation to put it as Dec 21 did. (i have 2 1911s there bad ass)

The old saying about using a .45 acp, "No need to shoot twice" applies. My .40 is bad ass, but the hollow point rounds in my Kimber .45 will drop Bigfoot where he stands.

My wife won't shoot my .40 because of its recoil, but she will shoot the Kinber 1911 all day. Haz, shoot 30 - 50 rounds of any .40 caliber out there, then rent a good 1911 .45 (S&W, Kimber, Springfield ...) and shoot the same. I'll bet your accuracy is better, and I bet you will like its handling even better. Plus, no mistake with the noise coming out of that barrel with anyone near you at the range that you are firing one mean ass pistol. Only 2nd to a Desert Eagle IMO.

Getting back to the main subject, from time to time I write things on the notice wall that is really "out there", to perplex the morons at work.

Think I found my next piece of "earth shattering statements" for the plebs at work to mull over.

I can't speak for anything over a 9mm..... but I was deadly accurate with the glock 9mm. Compared to springfield, taurus, S&W. It was a huge accuracy difference for me which is why I was leaning towards a Glock again.
