    No taste/smell after flu

On my 3rd day of the flu (on my way back up) and just ate my first real meal since it started and realized when I was eating that I couldn't taste anything. Did some quick research and permanent loos is rare, however temporary loss (2 days to 4 weeks) is not that uncommon. I'm a little concerned I guess but we'll just have to wait and see. Anyone have any experience with loss of taste/smell?

That's exactly what my wife said. I could see the benefits (hard boiled eggs/tuna/research chems) but I'd much prefer the senses in the long run.
