Hi, long time out of training (18 years) and now in my mid 50s. Looking to recapture a little of the physique that I once had and the buzz that I always got from working out. Never competed but used to lift some pretty serious weights for my size (5' 10"/ 215lbs) but now carrying a lot of extras and suffering from middle age malaise! Been doing some cardio (cross trainer and running) for a couple of months now and looking to get in the gym next week.
If anyone has time I would welcome advice on what may be my main problems coming back to weights at my age... generally quite fit but reckon I will need a boost to see a decent return on my input. How will my natural hormone profile have changed with age and how will this affect my outcomes? All and any advice welcome! Thanks...
