Thread: Elbow tendon pain.

    Elbow tendon pain.

Ok everyone i have a problem. For the past 7 months my tendon on the back of my elbow below my tricep as been hurting real bad. It got so bad that i couldn't do triceps at all. Then i couldn't do chest dumbbells or bar. It would feel like the tendon was popping and my arm would just go real weak. The joint feels fine its just the tendon. It only hurts when i'm working out and it never swells up either. I have been resting it and it seams to be getting better but its taking a long time to do so. Anyone have any idea what i should do?

Tendons take a LONG time to heal. I tweaked my shoulder 9+ months ago and I could feel the tendon pop/snap back and forth on my shoulder down to my elbow. I'm only recently starting to feel better but I'm still down to 1/4 or less the strength I was a year ago. Sucks.

I'm starting to get better but i worry i will hurt it as soon as i go heavy again. I hurt it the first time by going really heavy on my tricep workouts. It would bother me after the workouts but by the next day it would be fine so i just kept going. Bad idea by the way.

Welcome to AR! Stick with compound exercises, lighten up resistance and let your elbow heal.

Welcome, thats a tough injury and takes a long time to heal upwards of 4 to 6 months go light and ice it after workouts to reduce swelling.
