    g'day guys!

    Hey Guys,

Been training for 2 years, 3 times a week . previous to the i had a brief stint at the gym when i was 24-26.

Spending most of my time making babies, and cycling long distance , endurance etc which is never good if i wanted to bulk up- but no training buddy was available until the last few years.

Now im 40, test levels of course drop as we age and its a struggle to get bigger, stronger , faster unless i quit my job , focus full time and send kids away - not gonna happen!

been eating right, hovering around 3000 cals a day , sometimes more- but not gaining except on the belly due to lengthy recovery required as we get older.

hope to learn alot- and maybe now that im old enough to bypass all the issues that affect the younger guys- and have a stab .

eating right at 3000 cals a day, but only gaining on the belly?

you can have all the calories in the world, but if they arn't the right calories for your goal - you will continue to struggle.

post up what you eat, every day....

when i mean belly, im not fat in the slightest- just muscle gains are very hard to come by , in the last few months ive increased my calories but at 16% body fat i feel pretty fat and dont want to get any fatter that this ( maybe drop %)- when i eat alot i burn it up- body temp goes up- typical hardgainer- have been relying on carbs and nuts for most of my calories - i know my diet is skewed, but am researching on a proper diet to suit a cycle- which i will be continuing with after cycle- i will be getting that definitely in check before i even bother start cycling- dont want to waste time and money on a cycle only to not gain lean due to bad food choices.

    Diet is as follows.

Wake- Protein shake- milk and two slices of toast/ fruit bread
Drive to work- banana- full cream milk coffee - egg and bacon sandwich
Lunch- Rice and vegetables with beef
mid afternoon- Tuna tinned - glass milk with spoon of milo ( flavoring)
Dinner- rice/or pasta with vege and meet/fish.chicken
Sleep - casein protein shake w/milk

agian i know its not perfect- i will be researching this to fine tune- prepack most meals when on cycle and be firm with it.

Just cutting out the milk alone will help you stop gaining so much in the belly. lots of sugar in milk even 2% and soy. repost this in the nutrition forum along with stats and goals.

Yah I learned that here.. One glass of SKIM LOWFAT won't really hurt you if u NEED IT but the diet section will tweak it out for u based on your goals..I've completely taken milk out of my diet and since then have felt much less bloated at times , even more so doing cardio ..it used to slow me down a whole lot ..
