No Internet stats guys. No rounding up to the closest inch.
If you measure your arms, what do they measure and at what bf% are you?(flexed)
Also what is your opinion on a impressive size for the everyday recreational bodybuilder, at what size would the average person notice a decent sized arm.

Before my cut mine were 17,7/8 now cut down around 11% 17,1/8 In my eyes now that I am much defined they appear bigger.

    I'd be happy with 18s with a <10%

I've got some work to do,
So what do all your arm workouts look like?
Do they have their own day... Bis/ tris on there own
Or bis with chest and tris with chest, or that in reverse, have you found once or twice a week to work best?
How many sets and reps? And what are your favorite exercises for mass with both tris and bis,

Ice started doing bis with chest and tris with shoulders twice a week usually.
My favorite bi exercises are standing bb and reverse standing bb, and incline bench db,
Tris my far is this tri extension machine we have kinda like a reverse preacher, hits them hard, skull croakers can be rather hit and miss for me, I also like close grip bench

I do approx 9-12 sets on either part and in the 8-12 range.

I do like to always change thing I enjoy 1 arm isolations standing with arm over an incline bench, going to failure then using my other arm to help with contraction then going to on extension

A measurement in isolation is meaningless.
Unless it's compared to overall size and proportion of an individual, who cares?

Mine are 17 right now which is ok. I got up to almost 19 and I was all natural! but I put on a lot of fat! The best I looked was 2 summers ago when, on cycle, I was 8% bf with 18 inch arms and I was very happy with the way I looked!

Its very true! one of my good budies is 5"4 and massive! and he only has 16 inch arms but from looking at him you would swear they were 19 plus. They say franco columbu's are were only 17 to 18 inches.

The taller you are or the longer your arms the more size you need on them to make them look large.

5'8" 210 lbs, biceps a touch over 16.5" When I weighed 230 i swear they were 17.5 but bad memory were probably only 17. I'm like 20% bf right now, I want to weigh like 200 lbs at 10% bf with 18"+ arms generally speaking. Haven't cycled yet but hoping too once bf is down and get closer to goals, since I haven't touched any of those goals since been focussed on strength and getting my body working well.

5'9" about 12%, and my arms are at 15", which is an inch bigger than they were when I was at my natural best years ago.
So, is this small? Am I measuring them wrong?
Look at my avatar, they seem to fit the rest of me. Of course I want them bigger, but I don't think that's in my genetic cards - even with AAS.
Adding lean size - even with AAS is INCREDIBLY tough for me, I'm the definition of ectomorph.

You look totally proportional, and they don't look small at all...
Not to say that I don't want bigger arms, but doesn't proportion count for anything anymore? Half the guys I see at the gym have giant arms - but no shoulders and legs smaller than mine...

Totally agree with you how important proportion is. I actually train my arms the least. Most emphasis is on my back, then shoulders, then chest, legs, then arms. Bigger muscle groups definitely need more time and attention.

I started with a pro B.B. personal trainer a year ago - a female. Her biggest emphasis and complaint about guys was proportion. She felt that guys with huge uppers and chicken legs were worse than guys who didn't train at all - at least they were proportional. And the curl-monkeys with big arms and no chest, or shoulders or lats were just stupid looking.
I want bigger arms and chest, REAL BAD, but not if it's out of proportion.
There's something to be said for being attractive to the opposite sex too. It's fact that we see "beauty" in symmetry, balanced form, etc.

16.75" now. Started at 14.25" 5 years ago. Just started a first cycle.

When I went from 15" something to now, I still don't see a huge difference. When I had 14.25" arms I always wanted 16's. Now I'm like, hmmm - this ain't big enough.
