    Lightbulb Shredding

I just started working out 3 months ago and I want to look ripped. I started a nutrition plan with no carbs after 2 and its a legit plan because a trainer helped me out with it but the problem is I dont know what kind of work outs i should be doing how much reps and sets? and example if im doing back that day how much back work outs should i do?

The most common thing i hear on this forum and the one i currently go by is the 12 set method, ex: chest: flat bench 4sets of 6-8, decline 4 x 8 and incline 4 x 8. Which equals 12 sets for that muscle group. Some would say not to go as high as 8+ reps but since your wanting to look ripped i highly recommend it as the higher reps work on muscle endurance and give you a defined cut look. Lots of water (Helps move toxins out the body and aids in fat loss) and high intensity cardio for a short amount of time, i.e running sprints will do more fat burning than a long jog would, as the sprints will help oxidize and metabolize the the stored fat and get it into the bloodstream.

actually carbs are not a must. some people fuel workouts with fat (keto) vs carbs. and i know a lot members here and at gym esp contest prep who cut carbs at 2p one guy even did his at 11a.

I would go high sets high reps with lighter weights. If you lift too much and too heavy you will feel lethargic due to lack of carbohydrates.

If I was you I would do high sets and high reps. You need to make sure you ease into this, so your body can adapt to using fats for energy. Otherwise you will find yourself feeling lethargic.
