    Ninja blender

Was excited to get the ninja blender a month ago...

but wondering if anyone else have issues when making smoothies...

seems even if i blend for 5 minutes i still end up with tiny ice instead of smooth...

i wondered if because the blades piece doesnt lock could be the issue but re-reading the instructions that ive got it pieces together correctly..(actually just noticed that when you put the lid on it makes the blades piece connect)

thinking of returning it actually...my oster works still after a year and blends my smoothies smooth not like a snow cone per say...

    any ninja ninjas out there?

Protein shakes...water, protein powder, ice, peanut butter, choc syrup...

Oster blends it smooth but ninja albeit gets it blended fast just doesn't destroy/smooth the ice...still lil crunchy bits...I was surprised

Got the receipt and bought at sams club so shouldn't b a problem....gonna Exchange for two nice beach chairs...the caddilac ones with the foot rests

Had the Ninja for about 2 years before it burned up. Then I thought I was upgrading and got a Blendtec. Well they are 2 different animals but the Ninja does excel at some things. Ninja works MUCH better and chopping up frozen fruit. The final product isn't as smooth as the Blendtec but it blends frozen way better. Then Blendtec will pulverize everything including ice, but has a hard time with frozen fruit. Always leaves chunks no matter what, but if you just plan on adding ice to protein powders or kale/spinach only the Vitamix can compete. I still miss the Ninja and feel sorta ripped off with the Blendtec. Frozen fruit is no problem for the blade system in the Ninja but ice remains a little coarse.

    lol
    i know right

i swear it IS powerful but everyone i talk to about it says the same thing..because the blades are 3 deep (ninja) that the mix doesnt pulse to the bottom and get churned...

like vegan roid mentioned, it is prolly amazing for frozen strawberries/fruit where my oster i would have to pulse a few time to give a chop on the berries before it can be put on a setting

but no, i use the same ice in each the oster and ninja and oster makes smooth everytime and ninja leaves the ice

i'm glad i made this post

BlendTec is money, love mine. Had it forever.

BlendTec or VitaMixers are the only real blenders.

It was between the BlendTec or the VitaMix BarBoss. The VitaMixers just look too industrial in my opinion. But the have a nice ball bearing for the blade unlike the BlendTec.

I blow out the cups every 3 years. But, I can usually get em' for free from them directly. They're all nice and not far from me. I fried my first BlendTec while trying to program it. Called and they apologized like 20 times and sent me a brand new one. I even told them I bought mine used of a vendor guy.
