5:30pm workout, what time should I eat prework out meal?

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what I should eat at what time durning the day. The morning and post is fine because they are pretty consistent day to day when working out. Now my question is on my workout days or nonwork out days what time should I get in the afternoon.

Workout days I eat at 6:30am-6:45am, Mid-morning is about 9:30, Lunch at 12, mid-day is about 3 and thats it until I get home fromt he gym at 7 then I have a protein shake with carbs and then eat at about 8. Repeat the next day pretty much.

My mid day is all f-ed up, should I eat at 2 and 4? Should 2 be protein only and 4 be both? I am really having a hard time with the mid-day so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plus, I am trying to gain mass on this Sust 250 cycle with minimul fat (like everyone LOL) but I am not hitting the calories I need and to try it the meals are so large I cant eat all of it in one sitting. Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch and dinner are pretty easy mid-day is kicking my butt.

Cutting was way eaiser then this was. Eat less more cardio and I lost a good bit but trying to gain quailty mass is really hard.
    Thanks

To get accurate info of how much cals/macros need to calculate tdee and plan your meals accordingly. As far as times I workout about 5:30PM-6PM and my meal times are as follows.
    Meal 1 9AM
    Meal 2 11:30AM
    Meal 3 2PM
    Meal 4 4:30PM (I eat 6oz chicken breast/3/4 cup brown rice/1/2 cup veggies)
    Meal 5 7:30PM Post WO

I am cutting but I'd say your pre workout meal should be around 1-1.5 hours before workout and include complex carbs.

Your body fat % if you are eating 4000 cals per day I assume is sub 10%?

I was first taking my bodyweight and multipyling it by 14 which gave me 2660 for maint so I added 500 gave me 3100. Well I found a calculator on line and it told me that with my weight and workout it told me 4000 was needed. From my other post we are looking at 15-16%bf I was leaning towards 3000 myself but I thought the calculator was built with things in mind that I may not know. Should I go with 3000 first? Or go with that calculator.

My preworkout meal consist of 1 cup of oats, 5oz can of tuna, 3 egg whites, and fish oil. I consume it 1.5 hrs before the gym.

Are you starting a bulk at 15-16% bf? Wanna post a pic so we can see where you are at? If that is your % I would suggest you cut for a while longer.
