Got any tips for pain day after injection?

The first time I injected Test I was a bit sore the next day but nothing out of the norm. Followed the same protocol on my next injection and the following day my leg is incredibly sore. I'm walking with a noticeable limp and it's quite painful. Any ideas on easing the pain other than aspirin? (already took some)

Any help you have on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Are you massaging the injection site just after injecting? That seems to help, along with injecting the test. very slowly. Are you using the vastus medialis part of your quads, or injecting somewhere else?

I am indeed using the outside of my quad. And as I said earlier the first injection went fine but this ones killing me. I guess I will massage for a longer period next time and warm it up. (set it in hot water?) and I will "man up."

If its hurting that much you may of hit a nerve or the oil depot may be affecting a nerve.

No biggie. Itll go away.

But as others have stated above.

-Take a hot shower before shot. Relaxes muscles.
-Massage the injection spot.
-Warm the gear up slightly. I sometimes put it on my computer tower and the heat from that works well enough.
-Heating pad for the days after if its really bad.

Inject in the shoulders.. I use a 22g to load up the syringe and then switch it to a 25g. Im on trt so I inject twice and week and have no scars nor pain ..its 100% pain if you take your time.

Heating pads here I come! I'm still extremely sore today, having a difficult time walking. Could not put my sock on this morning because of the pain. I figure another day or to and it'll go away. I'm thinking I hit a nerve or something.

I try to work the muscle group right after pinning. Never had soreness this way. Even helps with prop. Think it distributed the oil throughout the tissue better. Not sure but it helps me.

Probably heading to the Dr tomorrow. It's been 5 days and I still can't walk. Pain is pretty intense. Hoping it's nothing to serious.

You might try some heat bro. I know heat will further inflame the already inflamed area, but it will also soothe the pain & help disperse the oil (if any remains) Once you have heated for about 20 minutes or so, massage it, & really dig in, its gonna hurt like hell, but after 30 - 45 minutes you will feel practically brand new. Repeat this when ever you can (while driving, watching TV, at work.............anywhere you can) until no longer needed. This method worked for me when I had the genius idea to inject 4.5 ml in my quad.......lol. Good luck to you brother.

Hopefully, you're switching sites and not just pinning one quad. I ran prop and had to use both quads and glutes just to give time to recover from the pain in each site. The quads are a mo-fo, I can tell you first hand, I had prop peg leg and I know exactly what you mean about it being too painful just to put on a sock. Heating your gear, using a heating pad after injection and massaging the site for better than a minute will help some - but in the end you just have to push through the pain.

virgin muscle, you should get used to it after some time. Heat, stretching and working out the muscle group helps me.

ive had prop pain for near a week. If you have heat, temp, or redness/signs of infection you should go to doc asap IMO.

5 days? Is it getting better or worse staying the same ? Even virgin muscle pain shouldn't last that long, but everybodys different.

Agree with T.R. Inject somewhere else. Just because quads work for other people doesn't mean they're great for you. They suck for me too. Delts, glutes (actually hips I'm so far on the side) work best for me.

How long does it take you to inject? If you are doing it quick then that's why you are sore. You are bruising the muscle by high pressure squirting it into the meat.

Fill your syringe with water and push down with the same force and see how far it shoots.

Next time try to inject SLOW. I take 1 minutes + per CC. I want to feel nothing and see the plunger going down SLOWLY. I dont care if it takes me 2 minutes. It sure beats several hours of heat pads, massage and days of pain compared to a 2 minute injection and ZERO pain afterwards.

Just got back from the Doc. Significant infection in my thigh. Luckily it did not
go into my blood stream. Painkillers and antibiotics were prescribed. Should be good in a few days. If it isn't then on Wed I'll have to have it drained. As careful as I was somehow the needle became contaminated. He says most likely the bottle isn't contaminated but couldn't say for sure. Ask him about nerve, bubbles and injection speed and he said in my case that wasn't a issue. He was curious as to why I chose my thigh over glute and strongly recommended I use the glute from here on out.

I doubt he understands how often we pin & the necessity for more than one injection site. BTW, I wouldn't have told him I was self administering un-prescribed Anabolic Steroids. Now your chances of ever getting health insurance or life insurance are practically nil once the insurance company looks into your medical history.

The situation was getting pretty dire so I felt I needed to be honest about how I got in this position in order to get the most accurate diagnosis. He's been my Dr for about 5 years now so I felt reasonably comfortable in confiding in him. In my chart he put the symptoms but not the cause, but even if he had Humana is not going to investigate why a Dr prescribed pain pills and antibiotics to a patient. Pretty standard stuff.

Hell he could have been having fascinations of being a nurse someday and been stupid enough to practice on himself. The insurance companies don't care why you did it, they just see that you did it & that makes you a risk.

I would say unless the doc writes in the report that the patient is illegally injecting himself with AAS he is GTG. Agreed. But unless you specifically ask the doc to "keep it off the record" (& he agrees) it will most likely be recorded, its what they do, its part of the job.

The situation was getting pretty dire so I felt I needed to be honest about how I got in this position in order to get the most accurate diagnosis. He's been my Dr for about 5 years now so I felt reasonably comfortable in confiding in him. Honestly you have better make tripple sure he is aware of patient doctor confidentiality and more important he put NOTHING in regards to steroid use in your file, charts or notes. At most I would say it was a B12 injection but never aas.

Doctors write down a lot of notes after they leave the room also. I would want to see the file if it was me.

Also, when obtaining insurance, if the employer (thats who I get my insurance from) has more than 50 employees the insurance companies don't require a physical from each employee (or investigation) they gather everybodys age and give you a price based off that and any large claims you may have had in the last year. So at no point will my conversation with my Dr. be relayed to the Ins company.

I do think that is good advice for other people though, sometimes saying to much can get you into trouble.

I am living proof of this. As soon as your medical file goes to underwriting And they see this. No sir. I have been denied by 6 different life insurance providers because of an infection in the tricep due to test e. complete deniability.

I've got a follow up visit at 11am tomorrow, I'm gonna double check to make sure nothing went into my file as to the cause of the infection.

On a better note, I can actually walk today! I think I'll be back to normal by Friday. Pretty happy about that.

My leg got really hard at the injection site so maybe,for future reference, that could be a symptom of infection rather than just being sore from the shot.

Ive been going to my doctor for well over 15 if not 20 years and there is not a chance I would tell him. Well my little company only has a little over 150,000 employees and it's quite surprising what they seem to know when they call me up with their little wellness speeches about diet, exercise asking if I need any advice and they seem to know most every medication I am taking or have ever taken since they go down a list of are you still taking this, that or xxx?

As I said, if it was me I would ask to see my chart and the doctors notes but it's up to you.
