    Can you kick Mayweather's ass?

I was watching that fool dodge hundred+ throws last night wondering if a guy who is 200+ pounds get's in the ring with that fool, he would die.

That being said, I don't mean a real boxing match. But a match where anything goes.

I almost guarantee a guy who weighs 50+ more pounds can just throw that 150 pounder in a head lock and put him to sleep. Speed or no speed, maybe wrong though.

Just wondering, but I do think a giant weight advantage is very big plus when it comes to kicking someone's ass.

I think any non-fighter of any weight would look like a buffoon against a professional fighter. If you came charging in, he would get out of the way and pop you in your chin.

Having said that, I am always disappointed when Mayweather wins...he is such an idiot.

It would be a coin flip. If you could get him on the ground, and use your 50lbs+ body weight/strength it would be game over for him. However, it would be very hard to get your hands on that fast fukker.

now if you get a guy in there, say my size, that is competent in MMA, i think Mayweather loses.

....there's no dodging a punch if Anderson Silva grabs your ass!

This is why I do not like watching boxing. I respect the sport, and how hard these.guys train. However, you can lean in and dodge shots cause if a guy connects its likely not going to knock you out at all. Most don't even seem phased with most clean shots. Where as mma you better protect your face body at all times.
I think the popularity of boxing would come back if we saw more knock outs and less boxing to score points.

Agreed that a heavier MMA guy would do some damage. I was just talking about the average Joe that started a fight at NASCAR...you know, because Mayweather would totally be at NASCAR.

before i begin, i prefer watching boxing over mma.

having said that, one thing i don't like about boxing is the 10point must system. you can have a mediochre round, and basically a toss up who won, with all the grabbing and clinching. so one guy gets 10 the other 9. then you can have a dynamite round, and one guy dominates, but one guy gets 10, the other 9.

in my opinion, there is nothing worse than watching some guy that has developed a game plan where clenching is a part of his strategy. this would never fly in a street fight, and really doesn't correlate with who the better fighter is.

since ground and pound dominates mma so much, and it looks kinda gay if you ask me, mma is harder for me to watch, although, and admittedly, a more pure form of fighting than boxing.

weight dose help but it can only make up for so much skill.

^^^^^ TR...I love MMA but I would say the same thing about MMA, nothing is worse than 2 great fighters who go 5 rounds but only really fight for a very short time, clenching and hugging is a strategy but it's a boring one.

Mma is going in that direction. I see many guys like gsp, who are great but will win the fight based on point. I think its been 6 fights since he has won by submission or knock out. Its getting like boxing in this regard.
I didn't mean any disrespect to gsp. He is awesome and plans well for each fight

TR, I don't think it's fair to criticize the clinching like that. Boxing isn't really fighting, it's a sport. I agree with you though I hate that 10 point must round system of scoring. If both fighters have a shitty round, neither of them deserve 10 or 9 points. And having a really good round should make up for a not so good round.

But to the OP's question. I think with the exception of maybe one or two of us who are exceptional fighters, Mayweather would knock the shit out of all of us. He's in good shape and he's well trained. We might be in good shape, but we aren't gifted fighters. I mean maybe one of us could land a lucky shot, but it'd be doubtful.

Boxing USED to be fighting. It was called bare knuckles, and a round was defined by when an opponent hit the dirt, which would be the end of the round. Now we want things to be "safe" so the gloves go on, which totally changes everything.

I have not seen a good boxing match since I can remember but I would still like to see Mayweather vs Pacquaio for personal reasons.

I gained a LOT of popularity when I was in the Philippines for wearing the below attached shirt to the malls and other places. I got stopped numerous times and everyone commented it was not fair because I was much bigger than Pacquaio. Yes they though it was real.

You put mayweather in there with 3once gloves on like in mma not sure if thats actually what they are opposed to 12 ounce gloves that weigh at least a pound after filled with sweat in later rounds those mma boys better get him off his feet because theyre not going to take to many of those shots hes going to be able to punc faster and a considerable amount harder .I hope the pacquio fight happens because I hate Mayweather and Pacquio is the guy to shut his arrogant a** up.

They have pussified boxing. I mean look at how they switched from 15 rounds to 12. Now every fight just about goes to a decision. Even MMA has been pussified. Look at the old UFC from the 90's where just about everything was legal.

I would be very surprised if a average Joe took him out, down, whatever. Someone who trains that is way better at any ground game/takedown, of course they will take him down where his boxing doesnt help much. However If you take the best full contact guy and make him box only he prob get his ass kicked. Its all learned skill, with heart, toughness etc a great bonus. Same as have a drag racer compete against a drifter, very very rare that the best at one can compete with the best at the other without significant time training.

Heres an example for you big guys-- I am not even that great of a fighter but I train high level. I weighed 155 when I was training exclusevely. My teammates and I would routinely spar with a 260+ pound D1 wrestler, and all I could do was defend takedown and strikes, jab, and straight kick(teep). Nothing else for offense for me. He can do anything, takedown, round kicks, knees, cross, hook, whatever, and I would make him look silly. So wuld my teammates of different weights but all much smaller than him. He hit hard as hell when he hits you but never knocked me out. We turned that boy into a bad mofo in a few months. This kid was jacked, not fat, obv not shredded but VERY athletic. Long story short his insane stature and D1 wrestling did not translate to being effective against any of us trained full contact guys with a ground game. However after 6 months of sparring with us he was flat out dangerous!!

    I´d def kick his ass.
Then I would turn out Big Country´s lights, and rearrange Kimbo face, all in the same event.

Guys that think they can beat a pro fighter because they are bigger are probably the same guys that think they can out-drive Danica Patrick because she's a girl.

If she was ugly(er) and/or fat there's no way she'd be out on that track.

She's only won one race and that was in indycar years ago. And her top 10 finishes are very few and far in between. If she were a dude, there would be no way in hell they'd allow her out there on the track. If not for her sponsors and endorsements, she'd be flat broke. Her spot out there on the track should go to somebody else.

This is kind of dumb....most of us would get our asses handed to us by him no matter how large! he's boxes for a living and all he would need to do is get one hit on any of us which wouldn't be hard for him. On the other hand if you too a shitty no name super heavy weight fighter....I mean the worst pro boxer! and put him against him the heavy weight fighter would win easily! just on pure size, reach, and strength....it wouldnt even be a fare fight which is why they have weight classes.

which is why Ray Leonard beat Marvin Hagler. the ring was huge, which favors the guy that knows how to punch and run

if the ring were small, the fight would have went to Hagler. No doubt in my mind.

same with Leonard and Roberto Duran. put those two in a small ring with no running away, and duran kills Leonard. I used to hate watching leonard cuz of the pvssy way he used to fight.
