Leg press will have zero carryover. Strengthen your erectors/posterior chain with deadlifts and good mornings. But the most effective method for clean improvement is cleaning. Its a technical/speed lift. You need to hone the groove.
What are good mornings?
Striaght bar across your shoulders as you would for a squat, legs shoulder with apart, keep you upper body straight and bend forward at the waist keeping your legs straight and looking up to the ceiling. you can youtube it as well.
