    Anybody into cardio

All I was wondering is if anyone has any success stories with cardio. I was debating getting serious about it but the problem i'm having is I have never seen much results. I mean I will get a very lean waist and good cuts definition, but you'll never see me get striation or veins everywhere. My goal is to look as attractive as possible. So do you guys do cardio do you get results and what type of cardio do you do?

i walk my dog a lot. so yeah call it cardio.

its effective no doubt for fat loss.

pretty low intensity but always upwards of an hour plus.

i was away on holidays and we were walking 5 hours a day. and eating ****ing junk food. suprisinly i got a touch leaner. makes no sense but im cool with it lol

what cardio are u doing atm? combined with weights u really cant go wrong. as long as its funu will keep it up

i agree with the fasted HIIT...you do have a higher risk of injury but the results come faster imo..

I have even done insanity the work out video from time to time

Growing up playing soccer and football.... I HATE CARDIO. Anytime I get on the treadmill or run outside I like flash back to the days of my coaches yelling at me telling me im worthless lol.

Runners high is the best, and as long as i don't push it to the max I feel absolutely awesome when I'm done....that is until I get stiff as a board..lol
@cherrydrpepper on a serious note, that striation look won't come from cardio alone!! it comes from development and repetitions IMO. Let's face it too its easier to come by for some than others, personally I have thick skin and veins have always been a problem, but then again I don't want to be all "veiny" As for being attractive, well remember different strokes for different folks, some women like different stuff, I think at your age the fact that your inshape and care goes a long way...perhaps a little bit of a natural tan...that is if your not black. If you are then your a step ahead in the tan department.

For a while I was doing half hour walking on treadmill at max incline a couple of days a week, and one day a week walking 2 hours on the beach. I would love to bicycle but I am very paranoid because I am a frequent reader of the news online. Riding a bicycle on a public road in this country has to be one of the most dangerous things someone can engage in.

done the steady state cardio 45 minutes a day thing in the past and it works, done HIIT and other activities, and honestly I don't like cardio. Done the swimming and enjoyed it as an activity. IMO the best bet would be to go do something fun that really is difficult to put a lot of effort into. I like to run sprints but then it screws me come time to do squats, but i not only do them for fat loss but also to be more functional and to be able to run fast. I really don't like long distance running, I would rather walk long distances if that's what I'm going to do, I used to do the steady state cardio as a jog, but don't think I would ever do that again, hard on your body as well. But if you like playing sports, even riding a dirt bike fast can be a huge work out if the terrain is really rough and technical, of course going fast increases risk of injury but can be a killer work out. Have longer days now so perfect time for me to do that.

Personally I don't have a problem with bulking and cutting, but I want to get to a point where I never let the body fat get this high again so the cutting aspect isn't such a big ordeal, and lengthy process. BF got a bit out of hand as I was focused on strength and didn't care how i looked for a while, not to mention the low test factor.

I guess I should add I have had some fun with going through bodyweight exercises, one to the next and cycle through them without rest going as fast as I can, its killer but really builds cardiovascular performance if that's something you care about, always nice because that is something you can see results with fairly fast, after time you add in extra sets or exercises or can do more reps or complete the thing without feeling like you are dying.

Cardio works, period. The people you see running everyday at your gym are in shape. The girls you see on the stair master every day have the sexiest legs. If you want to lose fat and look better quick fast and in a hurry, add cardio to your already good diet (assuming you have one)

Wait what? Girls on the stair master are usually 200+ lbs, or running every day have skinny fat legs. Best legs are the ones that actually squat and or involved in athletics where they have to perform well, and don't do long long bouts of cardio, and actually eat large amounts compared to most overweight women.

I suppose we go to very different gyms then. Fatties don't last on the stair master unless they're slumped over doing it the wrong way

Yeah the gym you are talking about sounds like a more hardcore gym, powerhouse or something. If you go to the more popular coed gyms like anytime fitness the girls on the stairmaster have asses you could JO to.

Not a bad idea. I just got a job interview got to see how it goes. I never considered mountain biking but anyone I have met that does it is in great shape. The one kid I know has veins all over the place and claims he doesn't even lift just bike.
