what kind of cardio do you do?

So pretty simpe question what kind of cardio do you do, how long, and how many times a week? The only cardio I do is jogging and sprinting intervals, its been like that for years which is one of the reasons I think my bottom half is so big and top half so small. I am thinking of switching to rowing and boxing only for cardio to increase the stimulation to the upper body in the same way jogging would do to the lower body.

The kind that doesn't involve it... I really hate cardio but I do jump rope and light running.

I treadmill a minimum of 2.5 a day at 6.0 mph (pretty good rate of speed since Im not tall though not short) Also usually bike 45 minutes-1 hour like 3 times a week or when I feel like it... Always trying to push as hard as I can until I need to slow... Everyone hates cardio but it has helped me achieve a more cut/lean look so I stand by it and I force myself... Diet is huge and cardio is huge for me but I kind of get a swollen ass round looking face without even when I have good gains everywhere else... Sure we will have a whole bunch of people saying not to do cardio like that

I have a concept 2 rower and love it. Mix it up between 2000 m, 5000 m, 100m sprints x 10, 500 m x 3 and whatever else I feel like doing. Find it much more stimulating then running.

I play with my kids at the park, go for long walks, hike, and typically do some for of HIIT.
Sprinting, boxing, Muy thai, stuff thats really intense is alot more fun than sitting on a damn treadmill!
Boxing especially is fun cause hell, your hitting something!!!

what type of rest times are you using between your sprints? I have heard some folks do a rest period equal to the time of their sprint.

Low intensity steady state cardio (LISS) keeping my heart rate between 120-130 bpm...I do this pwo and in the fasted state some mornings. Normally walk at 3.5 mph at an incline of 10 on the treadmill or I like elliptical as well.

Mountain biking 3 times per week or as much as I can because I love it. About 1hr at a time. It's the only time I leave the house for exercise.

Eliptical, Stationary Bike, Stairmaster mostly. Bodybuilding in the mornings, cardio in the evening. Usually pretty blazed by the evening so doing cardio on something stable helps lol. Might just fall over or trip if I use a treadmill or try to jump rope in that condition.

Cardio isn't just a necessary evil. The resp & card benefits make it worth it, especially for us old geezers. I have got to the point that doing the same routine just gets boring. I have noticed that when people do the same thing over and over, they tend to quit.
So, that being said, change it up. Your jogging and sprint intervals are great. Saw where someone skips rope. Man that's great cardio. I mostly do med - high intensity interval training. I've been through the Insanity program 3x's (warning - do that one only if you don't mind loosing serious mass), I skip rope, jog, do burpee's, etc... Do what keeps it mentally refreshing, that way you stay with it. Warm up for 5 min & get nasty at 125-140 BPM for 25-35min (for high intensity work), or back off to 100-110 BPM (for low intensity) but increase your duration anywhere from 60-90min. Know this reply was a little wordy, but the point is you have got to find what works for you physically and mentally, so you feel motivated to work and stick with it. Good luck to you and don't forget to stretch!

Jump rope and bike. Using the jump rope can be hard after a leg day so that's when I like to bike instead.
