Dr has just stopped my TRT

As the title says......My idiot of a Dr has just stopped my TRT. I was on Testo-Gel, 50mg sachet at 1 per day. He said I dont need it anymore

I went in earlier this year with my Test levels being 10.7 so very very low.......Test Gel took me to 12.9 in the end which is still very very low. He said TRT is hype and he will not prescribe me with anymore.

I am so angry about this as even a slight raise in my Test levels helped my anxiety. I am going to have to now self prescribe now and hope the Test I get is good. I am going to get some Test Cyp' and do 120mg every 7 days via SQ......I also have Arimidex and will do .5mg twice a week. If this helps my anxiety and I feel better I am going to be sure to tell my Doctor what I have done to make myself feel better and be able to lead a normal life and how little help I received from him and how I have had to turn to self prescribing because of this.

Just hoping I am not going to 'crash' due to having no more Testo-Gel?

You most likely will crash, find another doctor ASAP and a good one, you are deficient and will be prescribed.

your biggest mistake will be going back to this doctor ever again. search for a real expert in male hrt.

I wouldn't advise self prescribing drugs but I will say the crash from coming off TRT cold turkey can be hell so find a dr today.

The AI sounds overboard to start. Start looking for docs in your area that specialize or specifically work with hrt trt, or things similar, or centers or clinics that handle a multitude of well being problems, regular endo and other docs usually don't cut it.

This is also why you need to have some back up saved on hand always. In case pharmacy issue, supply issues etc. Of course rotate it through being used so you don't have a 4 year old spare.

And what idiot doctor would call it hype? He obviously isn't capable of treating anyone in trt.

that moron has no clue what he's doing, i wish he gets the same treatment when he needs it. and don't tell anyone you're self medicating, its illegal and you can get in trouble. worst case scenario go see Dr. Crisler or find a doctor near you.

Horrible. Don't wait and don't just make random appointments. Start calling Doc's offices and see if they will treat you per Crislers Protocols. Look at the Finding a TRT Physician Sticky and try some of those resources fast.

Docs are at all extremes. My hematologist asked if I needed any scripts on my last visit. I didn't ask for anything.

I feel for you bro, but it's unlikely that little bump in your test has anything to do with anxiety. Might consider the two unrelated and address the latter separately.

I don't see anything wrong with self-prescribing in your situation, but you must be very diligent about labwork if you go that route.

Just called the Urologist I was referred to. Managed to get to speak to him. He said if my Dr wants to take me off then that is ok......I said it is not ok and I don't want to crash. He said there is no such thing as 'crashing'......So I explained how in my 20's I had abused Steroids and coming off them straight away is not a good idea as it makes you feel horrid. He said this must have all been in my head as he has never heard of anyone having a bad experience just stopping Testosterone.

Well guys I am 38 in a few weeks time and have an ultra low Test levels......Always feel tired, no sex drive, lack of energy, weight gain, no motivation and this is the way I get treated......Why is the UK not like the US......Self medication here I come! It will either be Enanthate or Cyp' at around 120-150mg per week via SQ and will most probably take an AI too.

I don't agree with self medicating, but sometimes you do what you need to do....just make sure you have blood work. But it seems like you're giving up looking at other options way too early.

Also, DO NOT do sub-q injections of gear that isn't from the pharmacy.

Just keep searching till you find the right doctor, self medicating should be the very last resort, your at 12.9 to not treat you would be negligent.

Very true bud......Although I still fall within the 'Normal' range for the NHS. Range being 8.9 -35.5.....I should be around 22-24. Trouble is they will say as I fall within the 'normal' range they wont prescibe anything to me.

Interesting Allaaro......Why not inject anything that is not Pharma Grade via SQ? I would have thought that would have been safer as via IM it does just the same thing only release times via SQ are slower.

Do you want something that isn't 100% guaranteed to be what it says it is, suspended into your own fat? Many, not all...but many, even depending on batches of gear and solvents used, SQ injects with non-pharm will lead to soreness, redness on sites and a higher likely chance of infections rather then doing IM shots. Now saying all 100% shots will have problems, but personally I wouldn't do it. Do IM for both pharm and non-pharm, or SQ for just pharm. I honestly feel it has to do with the constantly changing attitudes and laws towards steroid use and abuse and it's association with crime legit or not. It seems like every time there is a murder or rape the guy doing it cries steroid use and the jury and the public seems to buy that crap. Even in America there are a lot of doctors who absolutely refuse to prescribe injections claiming a myriad of reasons, but the bottom line is they are afraid of the DEA shutting down their livelyhood for maybe failing to fill out a proper form for some patient who is on testosterone therapy. As a matter of fact, my family doctor refuses to prescribe it for this very reason, but will prescribe androgel, which by the way has the same drug schedule control of schedule 3 drug here in the states which is a controlled substance. and to me it makes no sense since both the injections and the gel are rated the same schedule, but the doc will not prescribe the injections for fear of the DEA harming his practice. And like he told me he can't afford to lose his practice over a few patients who are needing TRT. This is why most family docs refer their patients to Endo's so they wont have to worry about it. And since the Endos are specialists in their field, they can just tell the DEA to take a hike...

^^^Agreed. Unfortunately though Endo's with a good knowledge base in TRT are still few and far between.

    So true mate.

Mine is just terrible. I asked for my E2 levels to be checked, he refused. So I paid a fair bit of money and had it done privately. My E2 levels came back high so I told him about this. He said he does not deal with Estrogen and that I would need to see a Gynecologist for this......My Dr and Urologist are really starting to get on my nerves. I told him about how I feel low, no sex drive, tired etc and he said it has nothing to do with low Test and that I need a new Anti-Depressant......I said it has everything to do with low Test as I have been on so many Anti-depressants with no joy, he disagreed with me. Looking into my Test levels they are the same as an 85 year old Man, I am almost 38!

Fvck me, what a moron. I would read him the riot act, tell him he needs to go back to school since obviously he has not cracked a book since the day he bought his MD off Ebay and find a way to report him or at least threaten to report him the the medical board for borderline malpractice. WTF does he think HRT therapy is for, Hemorrhoids?

I hope you do not go back to him. You seriously need to find a new doctor or go to a longevity clinic. I started my HRT therapy at a longevity clinic and then moved on the a Endo. I dont think my endo is the most knowledgeable in regards to HRT either but as long as my levels are good and I tell him I feel fine he leaves me alone and writes me a script for another 12 months.
