    Strongman?

Anyone here do odd object lifting much? I've been getting a lot of inspiration from strongmanWOD.com (along with standard barbell work) and wondered if anyone else did that kind of thing.

Good stuff. I have several big tractor tires, logs, fat bars, etc. that I love "playing" with. My newest toy is a yoga ball I filled with water that I use for the same lifts you'd use an atlas stone for. Very fun and challenging.

I've been told there is absolutely nothing like the real thing, a completely rounded sphere made of concrete. I wish I had the money to get a couple to use for training, but I've been reading how easy it supposedly is to make them at home with a little time.

But how did you get the tires. I keep getting told that you can go to a tire recycling business and they give them out for free since it's cheaper to give them away, or something like that, but I can't find any in my area. Maybe I'm searching for one the wrong way, but I've messed around with a 700 pound tire before and absolutely loved it.

I keep trying to reply and my post gets banned for using some word that isn't allowed by the spam software, but I can't figure out what it is. Sorry...
