Creatine timing is not going to change anything, take the dose you determined whenever you want (for me its 5g a day, when i remember) packing it aound the workout does not do a quack in any terms.Originally Posted by beginner91
If you eat enough protein from quality sources then you will be less likely to benefit added glutamine.
If you are in a deficit, take 2 g pre bed.
I stopped taking glutamine because expensive and i didn't see a benefit. two reasons to take glutamine
1) secretague (pre bed) to stimulate the pituatary to release GH (probably the weakest of the secretagues, behind Arginine and GABA)
2) aid in recovery (post work out) - agree if you are hitting all your macros and with complete protein, probably not necessary.
on workout days I take 5g creatine monohydrate and 5g l-glutamine 1hr pre workout and then 5g l-glutamine post workout
on off days I take 5g mono creatine in the morning and 5g l-glut in afternoon before dinner at about 5pm-6pm and then 5g l-glut around 2 hrs later after dinner at about 7pm-8pm
so far so good
U can't take glutamine and creatine IN THE SAME TIME - the two cancel each other, they use the same receptors!
I'm not really a big fan of glutamine either and won't buy it unless its already built into my protien blend which i've seen the odd time. Creatine is a great staple supp. I've got enogh mono to last the rest of the year but was wondering if anyone had tried Controlled labs Green magnitude or green monster? I think they have creatine-chelate? heard good things might switch over when it comes time
