    Workout & Gear

I'm a 40 yo Male 5'8 196 20-22% BF checked 3 week ago. Diet is very clean but NOT Ronnie Coleman clean. I have done a few cycles in my 40 years but mostly younger and all you do is lift hard and heavy to get huge. My question is while on gear does it matter how heavy you lift to get the full effect of the gear. At 40 I don't want to be huge and I feel going heavy every workout will cause this. Can high rep low weight workouts benefit from AAS?

Thanks sorry if this thread is already out there.. Too many to browse through.

Lol, I had to laugh at that statement there I bolded. It's funny because Ronnie Coleman didn't eat as clean as everyone thinks. I remember seeing one video of his pre-contest daily routines, I can't remember how many weeks out from the comp he was, but there's a point in the video where he's eating his "no carb" meal - chicken cutlets - dipped in barbeque sauce! I thought that was funny.

As far as your main question is concerned... you need to lift the way you would typically lift to gain muscle in the first place. This is why we advocate people having enough training experience before the jump on cycle. It's not completely due to having a solid base of natural muscle (though that's a huge part of it). It has a lot to do with the fact that if you can tweak your workouts, and learn your body, and learn how to train properly naturally... then training while on juice will guarantee that you can build and maintain and keep that muscle after you come off.

And whether or not you get 'huge' depends on your diet, not on your routine. My training routine stays pretty much the same forever. What determines whether I cut or build mass is my diet. I tell people not to change their routines around just because they hop on a cycle, it's a stupid idea. My little motto I tell people is:

What put the muscle on you in the first place is going to keep it there!
