First time I bled into the Pin......any thing I should do ?

Ok - So after 12 weeks - I finally got a little blood with my 2nd to last pin of TEST - E ---so _ I took it out - found a new place to inject and all is fine. So anything I should watch for? Will the first injection site hurt at all more than normal? or is that it? SOrry if ii sound frantic...i neever had this happen before...

I had that happen before. I just pulled out, changed the needle and repinned in a different location.

its been 12 weeks in the GLutes --- this was first time I got blood in the syringe...

You'll be fine. Massage the area very well for several minutes. Dont use cold packs, warm if needed.

I agree - it shows how quick it can happen and Ive heard some poeple say --- "i can feel when its happening" BULLLLSHIT!!!! There is no way anyone can tell me they feel that! So that goes to show you ASPIRATING IS VERY IMPORTANT!

True. It does load up quickly. It's only happened a couple times to me. I pin again and inject, blood and all.

Next time, avoid the bathroom...and the dog while pinning. Nothing good can come from either of those.

Funny you say that. Just watched a mini documentary on cleanliness. They were talking about how filthy most peoples tooth brushes are being that they're in the bathroom in most cases. Just imagine hotel rooms.

Well for me the best and cleanest place is the bathroom....and unfortunetly I have a puppy - that cant be left alone for 4 minutes lol so he sits in the tub while she pins me ....lol

I had to use 18's for a minute once. Well one night i injected(1997 98) no aspiration, and pulled the needle out. Blood flew across the room and hit my wall. Covered it pretty good actually. Called my paramedic friend and he was laughing saying i just went through a vein.

18 is huge, 21 is the biggest I've done. I always use 18 now but man that must have hurt.

Every time I aspirate, I get a little air bubble back in the syringe, I don't get it, is that a little vacuum pocket? I know there are no air bubbles hangin out inside my muscles

Lmao! Dude, when you get your first gusher someone in your household is going to have a heart attack. I've had blood spurt out of my quad and shoot across the bathroom (3-4 feet) and plaster the wall. Be prepared for the reality that this can happen. When it does keep your cool. You are gonna live.

I also pin at the bathroom sink. I am glad I read this. I have been making sure I aspirate lately, but have yet to draw blood. I always wonder because I pull the plunger back a bit but its really vacuumed in there, I have been wondering if im pulling enough, good to know the blood will rush in noticably if its going to. I also have had blood squirt across the room once when pulling pin out of glute, like a little geiser, must have went through a vein!!!

Not to hijack the thread, but on the subject of pulling the plunger back 1/8" of so should nothing come into the plunger I am assuming? Obviously blood is bad but I am assuming if you are in the muscle nothing will come into the syringe?

That's perfect. You pull back 1/8" and no blood flows or you just get air bubbles, you are good to go.
