    Here we go! Day1

I am 6', 200 lbs, approximately 25% BF and am on no particular diet at the moment. My goal is to achieve a BF% between 10 and 15% by the end of the year. I know this is more than doable. I figured my TDEE at around 3120 calories based upon the workout regimin that i start today. Now it's just getting the right foods at the right times. Rice, oats, grains, red meats, fish, chicken, and most vgetables are at a minimum of doable if not well liked. Sweet potatoes and cottage cheese are on the do not call list...lol. So for a TDEE of of the 3120 i'll cut 500 and be at 2620. This gives me a 40/40/20 of 1048/1048/524. I have no doubt that this is very doable and fortunately my job and personal life make it very easy to eat frequent meals, although the ones at work would have to be precooked or uncooked. I plan on doing 5 day split at the gym focusing more on maintenance while cutting until i reach my goal. Then it will be time to bulk. My long term goal would be to be about 220 and 8-12% BF and being just CUT! I know this will include some cycles down the road but am wanting to lay the groundwork so that i am not trying to accomplish too many things at one time. Rome wasn't built in a day and i know that throwing the kitchen sink at myself right out of the gate is a perfect way to become discouraged and fail. Any and all comments or suggestions are appreciated and encouraged. Like i said, i am starting the workout portion today and will be phasing in the diet as i get it figured out. This diet thing is new to me.

I like your patience and your long term goals. But, your cals will likely be too high with those stats. I'd aim for closer to 2000 cals. You can go 40/50/20 to start and play around with your macro's til you find what works for YOU best!

Are you gonna post your proposed diet?

Yes I will as soon as I get some of it figured out. Like I said, I'm clueless on the macros so there will be a learning curve. This is where the knowledgeable will hopefully help out.
