    Smile Need advice on diet/cut...*Newbie

    Age: 22, lift around 3-4 days/week
    Weight: 165lbs/ 75kg
    Height: 5'9in/ 175.3cm
    Bodyfat: 14-15%
    TDEE: 2816, going with a 500cal deficit so 2316

Decided to achieve the body I want naturally without drugs and am really getting into this nutrition kick. I have the bodybuilding foods list of proteins, carbs, and fats, but I have yet to plug in speicific food choices + go grocery shopping. Currently, I have my 6 meal/day plan:

    7am- 30g/protein, 74g carbs, 8.5g fat
    10am- 30g/protein, 8.5g fat
    1pm- 50g protein, 74g carbs, 8.5g fat
    2pm- workout
    3pm- cardio
    4pm- 50g protein, 74g carbs, 8.5g fats
    7pm- 40g protein, 8.5g fat
    10pm- bedtime, 40g protein, 8.5g fat

    Protein= 240g/day Carbs= 221g/day Fats= 51g/day

I read up on a few diet threads on cutting and I am just looking to shred up a bit and see how this whole nutrition thing really works. If I get the results I want, I will consider switching to bulking. The goal right now is to achieve a bit more definition and some better looking abs. did my calculations to achieve the 40/40/20 split. Does it seem like I have a good handle on this? Any critique or advice would be appreciated. I tried to attach an image. Ty in advance

    welcome hydro

    at 165lbs 15%bf u have 140.25lbs LBM

    ur BMR = 1750cals

i think ur gonna find 2316cals may be a bit on the high side to cut bf. for an example im 193lbs and have 177lbs LBM and wouldnt cut much higher than that (if at all).. IMO ud fare better to start around 2000cals and see how u do.

judging by ur pic (which i can only see the small one) 15% is prob max bf for u. u would be a good candidate for cycling ur carbs.. also IMO if u run a strait diet where u eat the same amt of cals every day i think ud do better with less carbs. but i think cycling them would be a better idea

So after reading some more 2000 cals does seem like a better starting point for me and ur right i never gt over 15% its a pretty solid spot for me, i am interested in carb cycling as well, i think id be willing to try your method of 3-low, 1-high, and 3-moderate for the 8 wks on 2 off. Sounds like a good starting point... I will reconstruct my diet around 2000 cals n see wat i can achieve.

remember to structure ur cycle around ur moderate days. build it first then simply eliminate/add carbs
