    Post Workout shake

So I can't hit the gym twice in a day so after I lift I am going to be doing some cardio, 45 mins for fat burning.

Question: is it better to have my pwo shake after I'm done lifting but before my cardio or after my cardio?

    I'm 26, 6'2", 230lbs, 20-22% bf. on sus400.

yeah as gbrice supports the theory that your 45 minute window to get your pwo is a myth. as long as you get it in at some point. all good

I agree with Base - it really doesn't matter, but personally I wouldn't stress over having it in between. If you're worried about losing muscle because you didn't have your PWO shake the second you finished your last set, worry no more.

Agree with all the others, it doesn't really matter -I'd have it after cardio though.

AND eating a fair amount of calories, i.e. not starving yourself. Let's not forget that 'minor' detail.

ok ok! as long as you are resistance training a minimum 3 days a week with a healthy diet , you will not go catabolic and eat yourself.

The other day I done 1 hour lifting and then usually do 15 minute run, however I decided to have my shake after lifting then went running and I had to stop to burp a couple of times and ended up feeling abit sick so I just stopped running on the treadmill and ended up only doing about 7 mins.

So I will never drink my shake before cardio again.

hence following the advice from people on this board ! 100's of people who have put in years of hard work and loads of $$$ and being self guine pigs in the attempt to educate new people into this lifestyle dont let their sacrifice go in vein.
