    My pin bled

I today was my 5th pin on my test c cycle. I did it in my shoulder like normal.. Aspirated like normal.. No blood there.. Went slow.. Pulled slow and it poured blood down my arm??? Wtf.. It didn't bleed for long but it's hasn't done that before.. What's the deal?

Ok.. Little disturbing.. So when I aspirated I'm looking to make sure blood doesn't come back into the syringe correct? If it does I need to retract and change pin and start over.. Just clarifying.

A little blood after the poke never hurt anyone! You using the Z-track method? I like to have an alcohol cottonball ready and the second the needle comes out I put it on.

I do the same. I don't change the pin between retracting the test and pinning it but I do wipe it down with a swab before injection. The wife is a dentist and said its really not necacery if your in a clean Enviorment.

The pin is changed after the draw because it dulls the tip when pushing through the rubber stopper. I draw then put a fresh pin on so it slides in my skin smoothly. I pinned one time and was going near a nerve so I pulled out and pinned again without changing the pin, I could totally tell a difference when it went in.

My gear has a metal lid.. Aluminum maybe.. I'm sure it dulls the shit out of the needle.. I'll try changing it on Saturday to see if it's a smoother pin.

Will I get better results from rotating where I pin or pinning in a place all together?

Definitely change pins between drawing and injecting. Much smoother pin. Maybe someone has that pic of the dulled needle after one use?

You won't necessarily get better results, but it's a good practice to rotate.

I can barely find a spot to pin on my right quad because there's so much damn scar tissue in the thing. So yah, you don't want that.

Post up a pic that doesn't make sense.

Def rotate your spots, scar tissue sucks. I did both glutes and both quads and by the end could feel some scar tissue. Next go around I'm going to involve pecs and delts.

Think I might of miss lead you guys... There is a rubber center on my vial but it is surrounded by metal... Any way.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to change my pin in between motions.. I have plenty of them.

Jesus I couldn't understand how you were inserting a needle through the aluminum top!!! Yeah just one poke through the rubber can significantly dull the needle. Switch the pins and it will be effortless!!

I draw from 2-3 diff. vials with the same pin then shove it in. Christ for some big guys you sure are some pu$$ies! (kidding bout the pu$$ies part). I don't want to wake the Bear lol.

Did I read correctly that you wipe down the PIN before you stick it? That is a could way to infect your needle. Maybe I misunderstood. wipe the top of the bottle one direction with one swab..toss it (the swab), wipe the area to pin in a circular motion from inside to out with a fresh swab. LET IT DRY! Then hit it!

A lot of guys pinning growth or peptides multiple times a day will clean the area well, pin, then clean the pin so they can get multiple shots from one insulin pin vs having to buy 10x as many pins. As long as he is using new alcohol swabs and not cross contaminating everything he should be good to go. I still stick with switching the pin just to be safe and the ease of it going in!

I hear ya. I don't want to take any chances that would cause me to have to explain to some small town doctor that forgot what attrny client confidentality is how I got infected.

Its also good to let the needle rest for a few seconds before pulling it out of the injection site, it helps reduce leakage. Pins are cheap, theres no reason not to change needles between draw/inject, not using a fresh pin causes more damage to the tissue as you shove in a jagged tip. No only that, but it allows you to use a different size to draw/inject. I use a 23g to draw and then swap to a 25g to inject. Im sure this is common sense but no one ever mentions it, be sure not to touch the needle with the cap when you pull it off, even though its just plastic it will dull the hell out of it. Ive had brand new pins that were dull from the package and i was carefull as can be, believe me you can tell the difference.

Love how you had to add "the swab." Funny!
