Another new guy looking to be straightened out.

i am a 41 yr old male, 5' 9" 160 lbs. I have worked out on and off for the last 8 yrs always getting discouraged with the lack of muscle growth. I am at a time in my life where i want to try steroids for 1 cycle (6-8 weeks) to see if i can get that muscle mass gain that people have told me about or i have seen. It is being recommended that i try Sustanon 250 for my first cycle, keep it simple no stacking, i was told. What i am having problems with is the dosage i should take for that cycle. I have seen the 250-1000mg a week (broken down to 2 shots a day through the week every week, a shot every 10 days through the cycle, etc. Do i need to take anything for side effects if i am just doing 1 8 week cycle, cant get an answer on it from those that have responded from manufacturers sites. Can anyone help me and i know this is frustrating for those well versed but there is a lot of info that counters the other guy :s
Thanks for any help would like to start a cycle soon.

You'd be leaving sust around the time it becomes really effective. I'd run it for 12 weeks. No more than 500mg total per week. You need an AI on cycle and PCT after, have you researched these?

    First things first.....

    Welcome to the board mate!

before you go jumping the gun running a cycle, you should get your blood panels taken. Your problem might be low testosterone. it is common for "old" guys your age. If it proves out you do have low T, then you should think about replacement therapy. This could help significantly with the gains you seek. Additionally, this blood panel will become a baseline if you do decide to cycle. It's just a good idea.

It's better to approach a problem methodically, trying to remedy with easy solutions first, before venturing off into areas that are more complex.

    Make sense?

    Cheers!
