What are the chances of needing TRT if you use AAS?

I know there's many factors involved, but what do you think the chances of halting your natural testosterone and requiring TRT are (long-term, not short term suppression)? If you wait until you are 25 or 30 and do recommended cycles, i.e. 8 to 12 week cycles of 400 or 500 mg test/week with HCG and AI on cycle and PCT how many cycles could you do until TRT would be needed? Do you think TRT is a fact of steroid use or a sign of misuse? I know we didn't know as much back when many people started so many people didn't do things the way we would now. Of all the so-called side-effects of steroid use, the only one that really scares me is testosterone suppression. What percentage of steroid users do you think end up on TRT?

Very slim chance if you're at an appropriate age, cycle properly and perform proper therapy. You're 31. Chances are your levels will drop in 4+ years, considerably in 8 to 10 years. Whether you cycle or not. What really sucks is a situation like mine, where I couldn't produce in my 20's and developed ED. Imagine that.

I like this question. I somewhat gave an answer in another thread just a few moments ago.

I think the risk of ending up on TRT is far greater than many guys realize, even if they are following what is often considered proper protocol by steroid users. You have to consider the entire scope of use, year after year of suppressing testosterone, stimulating testosterone and then suppressing it again...on and on it goes. Some guys will say if you follow a proper PCT and use HCG then you probably won't have a concern. I disagree. I can't count how many people I personally know who once in their 30's after years of steroid use, what is considered proper steroid use, ended up on TRT and with a giant look of shock on their face.

I'm not saying the odds are great that you'll end up on TRT, but I am saying they are greater than most people realize. I do believe if you're going to use steroids you need to accept this possible risk. You can do all the right things and that will surely improve your odds, but it is by no means a guarantee.

There's a risk-reward to all AAS usage. Therein lies your personal decision. Look at Austin's situation in his 20's or my case, developing a pituitary tumor that dropped my T level to 59 and sinking fast. You just don't know what's in store for you!
