    Quad injury...

So I was squatting tonight and on my first working set I felt a couple of pops in my quad but I was able to manage to finish the rep. I gave it a couple minutes and tried to just squat my body weight (no bar) and the pain came back so I headed home to figure out what the hell it was. Its on the upper lateral portion of my quad. It's uncomfortable to walk and painful to go up the stairs at my house. No bruising yet but this happened about an hour ago so I know it would be too soon to see anything.

Has anyone experienced this? Any advice... other than going to the doc?

I'm planning on just following the RICE protocol and keeping leg training light for the next couple of weeks if the pain persists.

I'm pretty sure it was due to improper warm-up so I blame myself but damn this is frustrating.

So there's still no bruising... just tender, almost like I shot test 400 or something. Hurts to walk, hard to go upstairs but it's nothing serious.
