    Pulled Hamstrings

So I played in my companies annual baseball tourny. Of course I pull both my hamstrings.

What would be a good rehab/injury protocal.

Both pulls are in same spots. Right smack in the middle. Left is worse than right.
I was thinking ice 15on 15off as often as I can. Tensor bandage both and also wear compression shorts over top (when at gym, work, etc).
Lay off leg work outs for a while except start doing good mornings with just the bar to help stretch them out. Eventually back into regular workouts with less weight.

Also need to look at specific training after so it won't happen again. It happened going from dead stop to sprint

rest + ice is correct. Stretch more next time.

Best specific training after hammy strains is to gradually progress from slow paid free walking, to slow paid free jogging, to (obviously time ,rest and strengthening prior to this...) progress to short wind sprints.
The hamstrings during sprinting are often hurt during strong eccentric type loading..as in..u throw ur leg forward quickly and ur hamstrings have to slow it down....so just weights alone aren't always good enough...weights are normally concentric motions and slow
Think of world level power clean lifters... They can seemingly make lifting 300-800 pounds overhead look easy...but not one of those lifters could lower that winning weights down slowly....
Yet we train our hamstrings that way then wonder why they go pow!
So in summary...treat the pain with rest, I've, massage , antiinflams, progress normal weights and knee curls to get stronger...get hams strength to at least equal to quad strength...and stretch them...but to ensure no more tearing, u have to get sport specific and speed specific...ie. sprinting ( the final phases of recovery)
