    Help...Chest Won't Grow!

Hey guys, I'm 2.5 weeks into my test-c 600mg/week cycle. I know not to expect much until week 4+ but I am getting some decent gains already. I've spent countless hours researching diet and I think I have that going pretty good. My problem is chest...I've never been able to develop a good one! I'm under the impression that you shouldn't hit a muscle more than once a week but I have heard before that if a muscle group is lagging then hit it twice. That's always sounded a bit contradictory to me as I thought that would mean overtraining. My question to you is can I hit chest twice a week, and if so should I do the exact same chest workout for the second time as well? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Sure you can. But i don't think that is the problem.

What are you doing for your chest?

I would suggest alternating routines if hitting it twice a week.

I won't do more than two routines per muscle group per day. in that routine, I do a pyramid, and a warm up, for a total of about 6 sets. this is a guideline, not chiseled in stone. but on the average, this is about what i do overall.

if you are hitting chest as I described twice a week, and you are eating properly, and in a caloric surplus, your chest will grow. Some will grow faster than others, so it's really up to you as an individual.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I do barbell bench 2 warmup sets, 4 working sets 6-8 reps. Incline DB 1 warmup set, 4 working sets 8-10 reps. And a fly movement, 4 sets 8-10 reps.

Thanks alot for the advice. So if I understand correctly, you will only 2 do excersizes per muscle group a day?

Are you going to failure with the reps? Working them twice a week is good, and forced reps are a winner aswel IMO. If you don't have a training partner grab the closest guy in the gym and get him to spot ya!

Hey, yes on most sets I go to failure as I do have a partner I train with. I'm gonna start hitting chest twice a week then it looks like. Thanks!

Try changing things up by doing DB flat instead of BB and do BB inclines instead of DB. Weighted dips are awesome. I like the Hammer incline machine....really load on the weight. Change your reps up each workout also. You need variety.

just do DB's period, BB bench press is a vastly overstated exercise and DB's are way more superior
