Has anyone ever pushed so hard they puked? Me and my bro were working out legs today and he didint eat before the gym we were doing leg press and he got up said he felt light headed and ran to the bathroom n puked half way. Was pretty funny.

I've seen it at the gym - most often with new members working out with a trainer and the trainer may be pushing a little too hard. It's commonly referred to as exercise induced nausea and can be due to:Originally Posted by Firepal

The most common cause of EIN is likely due to a decrease of blood flow to the gastric mucosa. Without sufficient blood supply the GI tract can't function properly and may reject its stomach contents, either as vomiting or more rarely as diarrhea.
Never done this but have seen it. It looks miserable lol
I've thrown up from squatting back in my high school football glory days. This was probably due to the binge drinking that was done the night before. A little different story there though.
When i drink my pre workout if i go to the gym before my body takes it in i usually puke by the end of my workout.
Yes I use to puke after during or after legs and sometimse back when doing bent over rows. Ive also had a few nose bleeds and dizzy spells, these were the days when I was pushing and using very heavy weights.
Came close to throwing up but didn't. Made others throw up on leg days which is always entertaining. Would occasionally pop nose bleeds during heavy squat workouts though. That's pleasant.
Puked one time as a 17 year old. Was working out, ran to lockers. Laid down on a bench. Gym partner told me I was a puss. He leaves. Five minutes later I'm puking.
Puked once after a set of deads with 455. It was about 8 years ago, and not a lot of puke came out, thank goodness, but enough so that I had to get a mop.
Has only happened on quad or ham days. the reason i found was going to heavy with not enough rest between sets.

2 weeks ago puked on squats 1st time was in my mouth luckily i was able to swallow it done it a few times... 10 x 10 routine add 10lbs every set, ass touch ankles every rep , so much volume, even little weights will make you puke... 45 sec breaks. its tough to make it past 315 at such a fast rate n volume
