    Easy and cheap recipes.

Hey guys I'm a student and powerlifter that is hoping to do a fitness modelling photo shoot within the next year. I have about a 60$ a week budget for food and I do not have a lot of time (studies, training, friends etc) so i'm looking for some cheap easy recipes that I can make and then store in tuperwear to eat for the next few days. Lately honestly i've been eating allot of brown pasta wal mart steaks and protein powder and omg i am so sick of eating being such a miserable chore. My diet isn't too too strict but i do my very best to eat between 2500 and 3000 calories when dieting and 3500 to 4000 calories when bulking. I always eat 200 to 250 grams of protein a day despite how aweful it may taste. Post links or list your own personal faves. Any help would be much appreciated.

carb sources: oats, brown rice, sweat potatoes. < all these are cheap and a good low fat source of carbs. also some broccoli.

protein sources: whey (if you can't get it cheap enough, dont worry about it, spend your $$ on real food instead), cottage cheese, tinned tuna,eggs/ frozen egg whites, the rest of your money id spend on chicken and/or beef.

it's hard on such a low budget i know, but not impossible.. i spend about 200-300 $$/week on food lol.

and as for recipes, try making soup, just get a large pot and add whatever you want in there, i usually chuck in a whole packet of wholemeal pasta, a kg of chicken breast, and then a bunch of veggies, sweat potatoes, celery, lentils (another good source of protein), corn, etc... and then just ladle into containers and freeze.

also buy in bulk when you can, this will save you some $$. eg. you can buy a 20kg bag a brown rice alot cheaper than you can buy 40x 500g bags of the stuff.
