    Ready to max my potential

    Hi my name is James,

I am trying to develop a workout routine to get in shape, In my past I have never really been active but had a faster metabolism... Unforunately Im 26 6ft/185lbs sodas and smoking have helped me not have any sort of lung capacity and all my weight seems to go right to my lower abdomen and in my chest. I have no definition to my arms really but no fat *pudgy is the word I would describe*.

    - I try to walk for like 2 to 3 miles at least 3 times a week
    - I recently bought a pull up bar for the door way
-I can only run for very short durations 1/6 a mile and then my lungs just give out.
    - Have not smoked in 10 months and I havent had a soda in 5 - plan on never doing either again.

I would like to develop a work out routine and a meal plan that can develop in a life long routine. I would like to get to that Ryan Rynolds level if possible or somewhere along those lines, if I could get to 180lbs muscles and about 8-10% body fat I would be very pleased.

-protein bars, water, multivitamun, fish oil, whey/mass protein shakes, grilled chicken, brown rice, got some C3 to get me going when I am lazy, salad/veggies, tuna, fruit puree for smoothies...

This is what I would like to build my diet around and ocassionally some grilled salmon.

If someone can help me develop a diet/ workout routine to give me some guidance I would very much appreciate it. Tired of not liking my body and I refuse to go down without a fight.

    Thanks

    Welcome James,

Have a look over in the diet and training sections of the fourm, if you read the stickies this will give you more of an idea how to go about achieving your goals. Once you get some understanding start a thread with your future plan and then we can all take a look at it for you.

    Best of luck
