    Time off

My boy at work told me I should take a week off from training due to the fact I've hit a plateau.. He doesn't know I'm on gear.. I have in fact hit a plateau, should I just switch up routine as appose to taking time off since I am on gear? My buddy is a comp BB and knows his shit.. Except the being on gear part

How far are you into your cycle? Have you tried adding more calories.

Take a week to deload instead of a total week off. Just do some light movements that are different from your regular workouts. Take a week and a half if needed. You'll be fresher when you hit it hard again.

I'm all for deloading when you hit a plateau or your CNS is fried but I'm not sure a deload is the best option while on gear. You might actually increase the volume or intensity to break through the plateau. How much gear you running and for how long? Now if you're cruising on a HRT dose of test only then I would still deload.

Just increase your rest days while your on cycle but taking a week off is good but I would do it after you have recovered.

agree. sometimes you have to step back to move forward. doing the same thing in the gym week after week, eeking out meager gains seems unproductive. ronnie posted a thread with his slingshot method if you wantto take a look:
