Tbh I've just dropped the deadlifts, there's not much left in the tank when I've done them heavy
Your chest needs work
That's why I do deads last, then my upper back is pre-fatigued and I feel less likely to hurt myself with super heavy weight.
That means they are working. I usually save them for last and do as heavy as I can till failure. Usually around 4-6 reps. As far as high reps on back, unless ur a gymnast, I think high weight, low reps would b best.Originally Posted by MR-FQ320
I typically do 4 work outs on back. Weighted pull ups, upright barbell row (wide grip, concentrate on squeezing ur shoulder blades together), close grip seated rows and dead lifts
I can do heavy weights with back, but I cannot get a pump unless I do shit loads of repsOriginally Posted by Tron3219
Pump is important but it's not tw only ingredient forum scale growth. If you're not tearing those little muscle fibers and just pumping them full of blood all it's doing is pumping them up. When u get pump the important part is pretty much to carry oxygen and nutrients to tw muscle and carry away waste product. Without "tearing those lol muscle fibers" there's really no waste product because all your doing is tightening the muscle tissue that's already there. Not repairing muscle tissue which makes them bigger.
I always do one or two set of higher sets (20 reps) to get a nice lil pump and get warmed up and then really hit the heavy weight. I always so warm up sets. Good for pump and to loosen up joints and muscles associated with that lift
Vets: feel free to correct any errors I may have made. I tried to simplify while walking on a tread mill so my explanation may have been a lil ****ed lol
