does working out lower your testosterone?

    Hey guys

So I just found out that during cardio and work out our bodies produce cortisol,
And it can lower our testosterone, which would make it aa horrible idea to work out before you go on a date.

So how long do you have to wait after workout for your testosterone levels to recharge?

Cortisol is the stress hormone that the body releases when it's under stress (ex. stressful job or during intense workouts). The body releasing cortisol is inevitable and not always bad we just have to manage it. Limiting your workout to a max of 45 mins to 1 hour will help control cortisol as well as getting in your pwo meal/shake right after your workout. A balanced diet as well as some vit. c can help control cortisol as well.

The right amount of workout will rise your T. Too much will decrease it. You should be horny after a short, but intense workout

Everything that I've ever read has said that working out regularly will encourage your body to produce a higher level of testosterone. I also agree though that you're worrying way too much over this.

As far as working out before a date, I would avoid an intense workout, only because you'll be tired and sore from lifting. If you're talking about a light workout to get a pump first, I wouldn't really bother. Unless the date is really short, the pump wont last long enough to matter. Just relax and focus on the date.

After a long workout take protein shake right after along with Vitamin C it will help blunt Cortisol....add some simple sugars as well to your shake. If you have hot date make it on your off day's if your going to have non-stop banging session.

Doing shit loads if endurance sports lowers T. Like running, biking, & triathlon. I do all 3. But good fuel afterwords and a good nights rest gets it back in time. Weightlifting raises T. That's why I do it. (And some prop helps too). Lol. Lots of endurance athletes have lower T levels. I'm not really trying to bulk, just not look like a Kenyan runner.

If what you're worried about is not being able to have sex or something that should only be happening if you are exhausted and tried to have sex right after a very intense workout.

I was doing 90 minutes on a stationary bike 5-6 days a week and my test went up to 796 total... now that i'm doing no cardio ... just got my blood work back ... 633. Using your legs makes your test levels increase which as far as I know is a fact.

That was it. I was very strict during that time. Diet was good, still had a cheat day just like I always have done and was losing quite a bit of fat. Back started to give me more problems so I had to cut the cardio for a while.
