    Talking In need if guidance

    Hello

This January I weighed 335 pounds. I started to work out (mostly compound lifts) and eating healthier and got down 260 pounds. I witnessed my body transform, as I had gained a lot of muscle along the way. I am currently weighing 262 lbs at 5'11, at roughly 28% body fat (had a local powerlifter friend check me out). I've read the nutrition section, and am confident in my workouts and devoted to keep my nutrition in check. But my primary question is if I should cut or bulk? Some of my sources said to cut down to at least 18% before bulking. Others have said to bulk now to get more muscle before cutting, as more muscle you have, the easier the future cuts will be.

If I bulk, should I run gear? Or if I choose to cut, should I run test/masterone/novaldex (have had lots of recommendations).

My blood pressure is 100% a-okay.

    Your input is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    One word- CUT!!!!

Post your cutting diet and we'll take a look.

If you bulk you will gain fat. Fact.

And gear? You are a long way off, sorry.

congrats on your progress thus far, you have made a 'lifestyle' change. at least that is what I like to call it

    i would suggest a 60pro/20carb/20fat diet

these guys will get you straightened bud

consistency is the key to this!

couldn't agree more! this is a huge transformation, and you can hold your head up high because of it.

hold off on the gear for now. you can still "quickly" shed so much more BF% with just the diet and exercise alone. when you get down to 15% or below, and the gains are slow and difficult, this is the time you might consider gear. But for now, you still have a lot of "low hanging fruit"

    Good luck!

you've done well so far changesz!

im with the guys on recommending cutting. im curretnly cutting down from roughly where you're at now. i was 255lbs 6"2. one of the obstacles i found hardest was not being big anymore! i wanted to bulk after id lost a good bit of fat because i didnt feel right. its a mental change your going through aswell as a physical one!! im currently 190lbs (about 16% bf) and still cutting.

hope this helps you decide. but i'd cut, cut, cut.

Hello all, and thank you for your input.

I've decided to cut and will go from there. As far as diet, does my meal plan look promising? I will up the cardio to help progress. Now during a cut, should I be lifting at a high intensity (this spikes my appetite) or keep it moderate and focus more on diet cardio?

    Your input is greatly appreciated!

your diet is laid out nice, but i think your numbers/macros can change some.

at 262 and 28% BF, i have you at around 189 lbs of Lean Body Mass

    189 x 15 = 2835 cals to maintain

i would have you at around 2200-2300 cals

and fix your diet to reflect 60pro/20carb/20fat

you are on the right track bud, just fix your current diet posted up top to reflect the macro split

i would also reccommend doing AM fasted cardio along with weights. does your schedule allow for this?

I can fit fasted workouts during the late mornings, will give it a try.

As far as diet, I will work on my macro. Appreciate the help!
