    ? For the wifey

I'm not new but I figured this may get the female members attention, didn't know where y'all hang out! Lol
First off I wanna say how proud I am of my wife. After having 3 kinds in 5 years she went from 185, wearing size 12 to 145 wearing a 0 in 6 months. She now has a lot of extra skin on her belly. Is there anything she can do about this outside of surgery?

Sorry to jump in on your girly question lol. 145 size 0??? How tall holy shyt???

My wife had significant weight loss ( she isn't a member YET so I can tell lol)

She went from 220# to 140#. She has only had 1 kid but the skin was stretched and after much research we determined the ONLY course of action was a full TT, some depending on the severity can get by with a mini. The problem with multiple child births especially quickly is that the muscles inside have also been stretched and torn. They actually have to go back in and pull the muscle together and sew it.

In alot of cases it is the unfortunate reality of women having children. God bless them!

She's 5'10", she's not very skinny either, she has a good amount of muscle for a girl. She's prolly at about 15%bf I'd say. She looks night and day from 6 months ago, I'm real proud if her. I've turned her into a gym rat. She kept asking for help but I kept saying no cuz I didn't see dedication. Well she finally started going to the gym in her own and trying to eat right, so then I started helping her and she has preformed stellar.

As far as the skin stretching, that's what I was afraid of. I was just hopping there would b some tricks to at least reducing it. She started trying amilean not that long ago but I think it takes a while to tighten the skin IF it works.

I hear ya...My wife made a decision one day and was so dedicated she would walk in 8" of snow. She (used) to hit the weights and is a squatting machine but she can't stand the scale going up again so she abondoned the weights and concentrates on cardio and diet.

Without seeing the situation you are dealing with I cant say for sure but I am guessing she has permenent damage from the multi births in such a short time. Hell some women have the same issue from one birth. The trauma to the muscle and skin tissue is unfortunatly only reversable by surgery. If you would like to get a bit more personal feel free to pm if not no biggie. She traded unwanted skin and loose muscles that NO amount of ab work and diet could repair for a scar and she has no regret!

I'm not an expert but I've been there... 13 yrs ago was prego, started at 175lbs , by delivery I was 210lbs , now 150lbs.

I have tried everything under the sun for over the counter lotions .... None have seemed to work! Honestly I think it has a lot to do with how good her skin is. If she has good elasticity than over time it might shrink?! Or at least reduce.

Normally you can tell by the way the skin lays for the most part. Elasticity will allow some "loose" skin to return but I am guessing this is more of the permenent type of damage caused by multiple and rapid pregnencies (not that 1 pregnency can't cause it).

Hi Tron...i was "preganant like" with extra skin after losing 40 lbs. last year, i was thinking tt, but after a year, my skin recovered nicely. THANK GODNESS. Therefore, I would give it a little more time before the tt. My gf had a tummy tuck...after having 3....she's a distance runner, very lean but the tummy skin just couldn't recover. She had a tt about a year ago, if happy even with the scar that goes from hip bone to hip bone. It does depend on her skin elasticy.

BTW...you should be PROUD of wife. and your wife should be VERY PROUD of HERSELF It is rare but encouraging for other ladies to hear that it can be done with some effort and discipline. Be willing to bet that she is so much happier now!!!!

Well our youngest is just over 1. But she didn't start losing weight till bout 6 months ago. I think we are gonna give it a lil while but I know it upsets her. And I am very proud of her and she is much happier now with herself. But she deserves to feel as beautiful as she is and I know she doesn't completely feel that way. I'm just lookin for ways to fix it.

BTW, tt recovery is a nightmare, according to my gf. couldn't walk upright for 2 weeks cuz the skin is pulled so tight, but says all worth it. my nurse friends say to avoid if at all possible. i am not opposed to plastic surgery and have had some myself. and that is sweet that you are so supportive!
