Best time of day to have weight gain shake?

Hi guys, I have a nice recipe for a weight gain shake that I will be preparing at home. Bearing in mind I train at 9am and hit the sack at midnight, what time of day am I best to have the weight gain shake?. A few hours after training or last thing at night?

Agreed. In general though, i'd go with bedtime. Unless it contains a ridiculous amount of fats and carbs. Refer back to Tron's post, lol.

I assumed "preparing it at home" means real food. Doesn't sound like he's using a 'canned' weight gain shake/powder. Hopefully not. I have a helluva shake I use, which is really easy to add/remove calories/macros if desired.

i useto have mine in the morning as soon as i woke up because i would have to rush out to work at 6 am and making breakfast was a pain in the arse : ) it was great because even tho it had ridiculous amounts of calories it would never really fill me up so by 8 or 9 am i would be ready for meal 2
