    uk importation laws

    Hi people
Hope i'm not breaking any forum rules with this post
I know the rules for online sales into the UK were revised in april b4 the olympics, anything imported by post will be siezed by customs
but importation by person for personal use, reasonable amount..up to 3 months supply is still legal.
Anyways i sent a mate back some from thailand in june not knowing the law had changed,i tracked by the Thai post tracking system to
suvarnabhumi airport,Bangkok where it was put on a flight to the UK....then vanished!!!
Eight weeks later,he gets home from work and theres a parcel sittting in his kitchen with the words STEROIDS in bold writing on the box!!
His mrs was not too amused!!
So a bit confused to what the current situation is,anybody from the UK can shine a light on this?
    Cheers.

I think it changed but it was mostly just for show because of the Olympics, looks good for the host nation to take a strong anti-doping stance.

Steroids are Class C in the same category as recreational drugs which means you can possess and use them freely. If the law changed it would need to change across the board and affect all the others I think. Unless they make a new class solely for performance enhancers, seems like a waste of time and money. Surely stopping 150kg of coca cola coming in to Britain is more important that some guy buying a few amps of sustanon.

Ok this is one area I'm good at

    The law changed this April
It is now illegal to import vials into the uk unless they are on your person.
So if your going away Thailand Egypt etc and bring some back that's fine but its illegal to IMPORT them.

All this being said it still happens and it still passes customs

    Agreed^^^
ive spoken to customs who told me the law has changed and you cant import steroids via post, they have to be on your person. I've also had a close friend who had to have a telephone interview due to customs seizing a parcel full of hgh/steroids. Its like anything some still get through but once your address is on the hit list you may be getting a visit

Exactly Marcus its just not worth it.
There is a big loophole in the system now as when legislation changed they took AAS from medical materials heading so now it's not a offence under misuse of medicines act.
Which also will make it easier for more UGL's to come about as the likely sentence they will receive if caught has now been greatly reduced.

So, this has no effect on research materials, like the ones from AR-R? I can happily order this?

I knew the import had changed at the Olympics, but hadn't really looked into it. Nice topic for discussion!

Thanks buddy!! I'm in Hampshire, Basingstoke. I read Fatmans IF log, and other threads. I never read the Eat.Stop.Eat as I had a working diet
I can't say I know about the LiveStrong blog, I'll give it a look this week, I'm glad my log helped buddy! It's mostly just a rambling of what I'm upto, but I've had some great support and feedback from SteM and Digsy, as well as others
