    Shocking the body

Has anyone ever heard of this? If I do it how long after I shock my body should I wait to lift again: and should I do the whole body at once or do a split?

I think i know what u mean by shocking ur body, AKA muscles... Shocking them means working them far more intense and more volume over a shorter period of time. Working through that lactic acid build up. I shock when i hit a plateu. Usually for a week or two then change up my routine to kee things fresh. Hope this helps or pertains to ur topic.

Yes! That's what I mean. Does it just mean that you change up your workout. Or the intensity?

You should be shocking and working your muscles each and every workout with intense hard training routines, always keep the intensity up there!! if you hit a sticking point introduce futher intesnee training methods such as dropsets, forced, negs, rest pause and supersets etc....

It would be useful to incorporate some different exercises in your workout that you have not done before that stimulate different muscle fibers. For example I used to just lift heavy and hard, the one day I did yoga and I was shaking and sweating my a** off, next day felt sore as hell, now I do this every week. What I have noticed is most people concentrate on large muscle groups and often neglect the small muscle fibers used for balance. For example lifting weights on a bench might not "shock" your muscles as compared to doing dumbbells on a bosu ball while trying to balance yourself at the same time. Just change it up and you will see and FEEL the shock.
