    Chest problem!

So i have a friend of mine and he just recently started working out! His chest compared to his other body parts look really deformed, i assume its his genetics, it kinda looks like the chest is inwards(if that makes any sense) and his ribs stick out because of it, hes low body fat and around 145lbs, im currently showing him how to bulk properly.

Because his chest is lacking and behind everything else, do you recommend maybe he should hit the chest twice a week?

Definitely not in the beginning. If he's lifting properly he should be sore week after week for the first month or so. I go by feel. If a certain muscle group seems to have completely recovered 3-4 days after training it, then I might train it again if necessary. I do this with body parts which are lacking like my calves and forearms. But since he's a beginner, tell him to train HARD but only once a week (for that body part).

Its been almost 3 months since he has been training, but did not know about proper diet until i told him and i decided to work out together with him, from the looks of it, he says he does not get DOMS anymore :/ but yeah sounds good

has he done mark rippletoe's starting strength? Thats the best beginners program imo, mainly compounds, no isolation until he builds a base

I always had a problem building chest (damn ectomorph) too. I know it sounds odd but hitting bench squat and deads super heavy actually got it to grow. Also cable crossovers are definetly a favorite.
