You will leave you pain for some years, maybe many years to come. I broke an arm (skydiving) about 6 years ago, and I still have pain,
my doctor say that he still seen some patients from 10 or 15 years after surgery and still complain about pain.
I take 2 pills a day, ibuprofen, solve some my problems.

there ARE things you can take for joint pain. For me, i always try to look for the simplest/least expensive thing first and see if that works:

    MSM - 5 grams a day forever.
    helps improve collegen synthesis
    helps improve symptoms of osteoarthritas

it's very subtle, and takes about a month before benefits kick in. For me, it's one of those moments where you realize that you haven't really felt much pain in the last couple of days.

    Osteoarthritis

A review by S. Brien, P. Prescott, N. Bashir, H. Lewith and G. Lewith of the two small randomized controlled trials of methylsulfonylmethane in osteoarthritis knee pain relief[12][13] "reported significant improvement in pain outcomes in the treatment group compared to comparator treatments; however, methodological issues and concerns over optimal dosage and treatment period were highlighted."[14]

Read a few pages of your log, very interesting. Glad it helped. Hope my pain doesn't go as far as that though.

Thanks for the heads up though.
